Glazing has always been my least favorite part of the ceramic process. I love working with wet clay and love the forming and shaping, yet adding the color never excited me very much.

I have been trying to explore the magic of glazes more. How certain glazes mix and react to each other, embracing the joy of not knowing exactly how things may turn out…

Being in the studio has been a great opportunity for little (and big) life lessons. Glaze is teaching me to experiment, play, let go of outcomes and enjoy being a bit surprised. 🌱

The studio got a long awaited clean today. The walls need some repairs but it feels great to have the space cleared and clean. 🌱

Hello Everyone 🌱

It has been awhile. I was contemplating just dropping this IG page and starting fresh but I love what I've started here and the people who have joined this little space and so I owe it to myself and all of you to stay.

I have been away from pottery for the past year and a half. I stumbled across something that swept me away. My intention was never to abandon the work I have been doing or halt my creative explorations in clay but I fell head over heels into Pickleball, a sport that has helped me connect to myself and new communities in ways I truly wasn't expecting.

I became an athlete 🤣 I laugh at the notion, but I did, It has been a year of intense training, travelling, competition and growth. I am glad I allowed myself the time and space to explore something so far from anything I could have expected for my life, yet here I am. I have learned so much and loved what the past year has contributed to my life.

I have acknowledged that it is time to return to ceramics, in some impactful ways because clay has always been my grounding guide. The practice of working with the earth has always centered me and helped me find a peace I appreciate in my life.

That being said, this is my small act of accountability. To post again in order to share my process and journey. This has always felt like an important part of connecting to others who share in the love of pottery and those who have supported me from the very start.

Excited to be back on this page and engaging with this community. If you have questions, ideas, or just some words of encouragement please feel free to DM me and I will do my best to get back to you as I can.

Thank you to everyone who has patiently stood by me as I let life take me in some memorable and exciting new paths.
