ผลงานของ Durga โดดเด่นด้วยเทคนิค Hand-Tapping หรือการใช้แรงเคาะด้วยมือแทนการใช้เครื่องสัก ถ่ายทอดลวดลายแบบดั้งเดิมที่มีทั้งเส้น จังหวะ รูปทรง และความหมายทางวัฒนธรรม
สิ่งที่น่าสนใจคือผลงานของเขาไม่ได้อาศัยเพียงลายที่เตรียมไว้ล่วงหน้า แต่เป็นการ Freehand ลงบนร่างกายโดยตรง เขาจะพิจารณาสรีระ เส้นโค้ง การเคลื่อนไหว และพื้นที่ของร่างกาย ก่อนสร้างองค์ประกอบให้ลวดลายกลมกลืนไปกับเจ้าของร่างกายแต่ละคน
งานของเขาจึงไม่ได้เป็นเพียง “ลายสัก” แต่เป็นการออกแบบที่ทำให้ เส้นและจังหวะของลวดลายเคลื่อนไปพร้อมกับร่างกาย

We are proud to welcome DURGA SIPATITI, an Indonesian tattoo artist specializing in traditional tattoo practices rooted in the cultures of Mentawai and Borneo.
Durga’s work is deeply connected to the traditional Hand-Tapping technique — a method of tattooing using hand-tapping rather than a modern tattoo machine, creating a distinctive rhythm and character within every mark.
What makes his work especially unique is his approach to freehand tattooing. Instead of simply following a fixed stencil, the design is considered directly on the body, taking into account the natural curves, proportions, movement and flow of each individual’s anatomy.
The result is a tattoo where line, rhythm and ornament become part of the body itself, rather than simply sitting on top of it.
His work carries not only a strong visual language, but also elements of traditional knowledge, cultural identity and the philosophy behind Indonesian tattooing.
