A tribute to a mother’s love, written in flowing custom script.

This forearm tattoo brings the phrase “No love is greater than mother’s love” to life in cursive lettering, a tribute piece with a message that speaks for itself. Before any tattooing began, the script was hand-drawn on paper to work out the exact wording, spacing, and flow of each letter.

Script tattoos leave little room for error. Every connecting line has to stay clean and legible while keeping a natural rhythm from start to finish. The finished piece runs smoothly along the forearm, with consistent line weight and confident curves throughout.

Once the tattoo was complete, it was carefully wrapped for aftercare, marking the final step in a process built on preparation and precision from the very first sketch.

This was a custom lettering design, refined on paper before it ever touched skin. A sunset scene built in layers — linework, color, and balance working together.

This piece captures a palm tree sunset scene, rendered with fine, controlled linework and a soft red-orange gradient for the sun. Two palm trees of different heights sit side by side, their fronds detailed individually rather than blocked in as a single shape — giving the piece texture and depth rather than flatness.

Above the trees, a small line of birds in flight adds movement to the composition without overcrowding it. An old school eagle transformed into a realistic lion portrait, full coverage achieved.

This cover-up project replaced an aged eagle tattoo on the upper arm with a fully realistic lion portrait, complete with striking blue eyes. Cover-up work like this requires careful planning from the start, the new design has to fully conceal the old ink while still holding its own as a strong, standalone piece.

The lion’s face was built up with dense black and gray shading to create enough depth and saturation to cover the darker areas of the original tattoo. Layer by layer, the mane’s texture and the fine detailing around the eyes helped shift the focus entirely away from what was underneath.

The result is a tattoo that reads as an intentional, realistic portrait, with no trace of the piece it replaced.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
Cover-up tattoos are one of the more technical challenges in this craft, requiring precise placement and heavier saturation to fully neutralize old linework and shading. The lion’s mane was shaded with directional strokes to build texture and movement, while the blue eyes were kept bright and detailed to draw the eye toward the face first. The design was sized and positioned to make full use of the upper arm, giving the piece room to breathe while completely resolving the area it was covering.

This session held two ideas that matter to our client. One symbol reflects staying true to herself — a personal reminder placed on the arm. The other, a symbol of luck, was placed behind the ear as a matching tattoo shared with her daughter.

What made this session especially meaningful was the company. Our client came in to get her “lucky” symbol matched with her daughter’s — a shared mark carrying a shared meaning between them. This client chose the Hah Taew — the Five Line Sak Yant — a revered Thai traditional design inked along the upper arm in five clean, vertical rows of ancient script.

Each line in the Hah Taew carries its own blessing: protection from injustice, guidance against bad luck, defense from negative energy, a boost toward good fortune, and finally, charisma that ties the whole piece together. It’s one of the most meaningful tattoos in Thai culture, and one we’re honored to create for clients who understand its weight.

Before a single line was placed, our artist carefully positioned the stencil to ensure correct spacing, alignment, and readability of the script — a critical step, since Sak Yant relies on precision far more than most tattoo styles. Every character had to sit exactly where it belonged.

A first tattoo, done with the same precision as every custom piece.

This cross and rosary design marked a client’s very first tattoo, tattooed along the inner arm. The design pairs a dagger-style cross with a wrapped rosary chain and smaller pendant cross, combining bold outlines with grey shading for a dimensional, carved effect.

Before the tattooing began, the design was stencilled onto the skin so the client could confirm placement, proportion, and angle beforehand. For a first tattoo, this step matters, it gives the client full clarity on how the final piece will sit before any ink is applied.

The finished result shows clean, controlled linework on the cross and consistent bead detailing along the rosary, with shading that adds weight and realism to the design.
