“Hiding in the Light” explore the visual experience in relation to light and its medium. The glass works in this exhibition serve as both a medium and aboundary for absorbing light and revealing adimension that isotherwise imperceptible. The compositions feature precise linear grids and colored planes embedded within layers of fused glass. By utilizing intersecting vertical and horizontal lines, the works evoke a profound sense of depth, width, and height—the fundamental dimensions through which we navigate and perceive the physicalworld. As light encounters the glass does not merely reflect external environment; it refracts into shifting colors and shapes, exposing its own internal architecture through cast shadows.
These artworks position glass as a material existing between exposure and concealment. Through varying
degrees of transparency and translucency, some forms appear explicit and sharp, while others dissolve into therhythmic ambiguity of the material's surface. The arrangement of line, shape and texture draws direct inspiration from architectural structures, where light and glass define the experience of living in the space.
This series of glassworks is made from float glass,
a common material used in architecture. Using kiln-formedtechnique multiple sheets are fused together to to create internal volume, allowing the colors to overlap andblend within the body of the work. Most pieces are hand-ground and polished to
a satin finish, which allows light to filter softly through. Ultimately, this collection reframes glass not as a transparent void, but as a site of uncertainty. Here, light acts as both a revelator and a veil, transforming the material’s internal structure into a dialogue between the seen and the unseen.
