นิทรรศการ ordinary is a mystery นำเสนอคงามน่าสนใจจากจุดร่วมที่ร้อยเรียงความรู้สึกบางอย่างผ่านการเห็น สู่ความรู้สึกและการตีความที่มีความพิเศษตามแนวทางของศิลปินแต่ละคน.ผู้ชมจะสามารถสัมผัสได้ถึงความคลุมเครืออันยากจะอธิบายผ่านบรรยากาศอันแปลกประหลาด ลึกลับ ที่แฝงอยู่ในภาพบุคคล ทิวทัศน์ หรือแม้แต่ในภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมและกิจกรรมที่ดูเหมือนจะปรกติธรรมดา จากผลงานจิตรกรรมของพวกเขาที่มีกระบวนการทางภาษาและไวยากรณ์ภาพที่มีทั้งความขัดแย้งและกลมกลืนกันอย่างน่าฉงน ผลงานจิตรกรรมของก้องศักดิ์พูดถึงบรรยากาศและปฏิสัมพันธ์ขององค์ประกอบในภาพที่ให้ความรู้สึกแปลกประหลาดระหว่าง คน สถานที่ และเวลา ในขณะที่ผลงานจิตรกรรมของชัชพลสื่อสารถึงพื้นที่ว่าง และเศษชิ้นส่วนของความสัมพันธ์ที่เกิดขึ้นจากสถานที่ วัตถุ และความรู้สึก อันสร้างผลกระทบที่คล้ายจินตนาการไปสู่ความว่างเปล่าที่ก่อให้เกิดคำถามภายในจิตใจผลงานดังกล่าวสอดรับกับผลงานจิตรกรรมอันหลากหลายของวันทยาที่นำเสนอภาพปรากฏของนัยยะปรุงแต่งที่บิดเบี้ยวจากสภาวะอารมณ์ภายในที่เปรียบเสมือนภาพคู่ขนานของความจริงและการตีความ
ผลงานจิตรกรรมของศิลปินทั้งสามเป็นสิ่งที่สะท้อนถึงความมีอยู่จริงของความรู้สึกเคลือบแคลง สงสัย และการตั้งคำถามถึงความไม่ปรกติ ที่ปรากฏอยู่ภายในจิตวิญญาณที่ขาดหาย และว่างเปล่าของสังคม ซึ่งสามารถโยงเราไปสู่มุมมองที่แปลกประหลาด ลึกลับ เชื่องช้า และเหมือนจะทับซ้อนอยู่ในภาพทั่วไปอันปรกติธรรมดาสามัญของเราในชีวิตประจำวัน
Richard Koh Fine Art proudly presents an exhibition of contemporary paintings by three young artists with appealingly distinctive notions and manners. The group consists of Kongsak Kampakdee, Chatchapon Nantamanop and Wantaya Thitipaisal.
The exhibition Ordinary is a Mystery demonstrates shared interesting features intertwined to fabricate some feelings that occur in sight, leading to certain unique emotions and interpretations based on each artist’s approach. In the paintings, audiences will be able to sense the indescribable ambiguity through the strange and mysterious atmosphere embedded in portraits, landscapes, even seemingly ordinary environments and activities in which the utilized language and visual grammar are enigmatically both contradictory and cooperative.
Kongsak's paintings speak of ambience and the interaction of elements in the images that bring about an unusual feeling between people, places, and times, while Chatchapon’s works communicate with space and the fragments of relationship arise from places, objects, and feelings, creating a fantasy-like effect ushering to emptiness that causes questions within the mind.
Such works conspire with Wantaya's diverse pieces that unveil depictions of twisted connotation from inner states that are like parallel pictures of reality and interpretation.
The paintings of the three artists are a reflection of the existence of doubt, wonder, and the questioning of abnormality that appears within the missing souls and the void of society which can connect us to strange, mysterious and slow aspects that are rather overlapping with the mundane sceneries in our everyday life.
