This weekend reminded me why I keep creating these spaces.

The goal wasn’t to make beautiful paintings.

It was to create room to rest, notice, connect, create, and be with God.

We learned watercolor. We experimented. We laughed. We paid attention to beauty. We celebrated one another.

And we made space for God without adding another thing to accomplish.

Watching women experience that in their own unique ways was one of the most encouraging parts of the whole weekend.

Some walked away with words like:

He sees me.
He hasn’t forgotten me.
He’s still working.

This is what I want these retreats to be: a place where you can set down the pressure to perform and make room to be with God.

Want to experience this kind of space for yourself?

✨ 1 THEME. 8 ARTISTS. 8 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TAKES. ✨

This month, Group 6 of Artcollabfamily | Artcollab | Lets paint together took on POP ART—and we had so much fun seeing where everyone’s creativity took the theme. 🎨

Bold colors. Unexpected subjects. Playful ideas.
Same theme… but no two artworks alike. ❤️

Each artist was free to interpret Pop Art in their own way, and today we’re sharing the results!

Our final sky. 🌄

For the past 8 weeks, we’ve been looking up.

We’ve paused for sunsets, clouds, changing light, and those little moments in the sky that made us stop and notice.

Then we picked up our brushes and made them our own.

And what a beautiful thing it has been to see how differently each person paints the same invitation.

There was never a “right” way to paint these skies. Just an invitation to notice, create, and let your own interpretation emerge.

Thank you for painting along with us, for sharing your skies, and for letting us see the beauty through your eyes.

This may be our final week of From Musings to Glory, but we hope the invitation to look up stays with you.

Keep noticing.
Keep creating.
Keep making space for beauty.

Tag Kristen✨Capturing beauty in watercolor and Shraddha’s watercolour odyssey and use so we can see your final sky—and keep cheering you on. 🤍

Every sky tells a different story.
Thank you for sharing yours with us.

This weeks reference photo was taken by our very own Shraddha’s watercolour odyssey Shraddha Geevith

For a long time, I thought being a good Christian meant getting it right.

The right beliefs.
The right behavior.
The right kind of service.
Being useful.
Doing what was expected.

I loved Jesus. But somewhere along the way, I started wondering if I was actually learning to know Him—or just learning how to perform Christianity well.

That question has changed a lot for me.

And surprisingly, it changed the way I create, too.

I’m still unlearning the idea that I have to get everything right—especially with something as seemingly simple as picking up a paintbrush.

What if creating with God isn’t another place to perform?

What if we can create from belonging instead?

If pressure to perform has made creativity feel harder than it needs to be, my free Before You Paint guide is a place to begin.
