A contemporary visual and sound presentation that plunges into the fragile shimmer of glory and the quiet gravity of sacrifice. Digital noise and online desire blur into a fever dream of vanishing praise, aching ego, and bone-deep exhaustion. Through stillness and lucid presence, the work lingers where ambition frays, inviting the audience into a tender undoing, toward inner clarity, and the soft, unadorned peace that remains when the applause fades.

About the artist.
More than 3 decades in advertising photography, Franklin is regarded as one of Hong Kong’s leading image-makers, collaborating with international brands across sectors.
Beyond the commercial world, his art photography is where he turns inward.

Franklin sees his photography as a direct channeling of the Divine — a moment where the veil between the seen and unseen is briefly lifted.
Each image is born whole, captured entirely in-camera in a single breath of time. There is no stitching, no layering, no digital construction — only the raw encounter between light, lens, and presence.
A quiet echoes of the sacred, distilled through his eye into a single, resonant frame.

Music drives the spine of Franklin’s work also as a sound artist. He weaponises sound itself, from primal gong vibrations that rattle the body to distorted electronic synths that slice through the mind, harnessing these extremes to provoke, disorient, and lure audiences deeper into his sonic universe.

▪️The performance will instead take place on 5 February as part of the 3rd Chiang Mai Performing Arts Festival, at Suan Anya.

You are invited to participate in an on-site workshop introducing the MA Dance: Participation, Communities, Activism programme offered by London Contemporary Dance School (The Place, UK). This international master’s programme expands the scope of contemporary dance by foregrounding participation, social engagement, and community-based practice.

The programme is designed for individuals interested in advancing their practice in dance and movement-based arts, as well as in the production, facilitation, and management of participatory activities that actively engage with real communities and social contexts. It responds directly to the urgencies of our time through creative practice, critical inquiry, and embodied action.

Participants will have opportunities to develop work rooted in their own local contexts, while learning online within an international cohort of peers and faculty. The programme emphasizes global networking, cross-cultural exchange, and collaborative approaches to generating social change. Scholarships are available for students from Asia.

Beyond the commercial realm, his art practice turns inward, where photography becomes a spiritual act. Each image is captured entirely in-camera, in a single breath of time, without digital construction, an intimate encounter between light, lens, and presence, echoing the sacred through simplicity and restraint.

As a sound artist, Franklin extends this inquiry through music.
