ordinary objects found along streets, building corners,
and alleyways became starting points
for observation and documentation.

these photographs are reimagined through digital collage,
where colours, plants, and small details are added
to create new conversations between
the city and the objects that inhabit it.

this body of work reflects on everyday life through observation
and the reinterpretation of ordinary things.

【 here and now in Shenzhen 】

This year feels like a season of exploration for Rivers & Roads and our team. We’re especially excited to see how craft communities grow and evolve in different places — especially in China.

We’re bringing some of our in-house original pieces to join this lovely event.

The event itself, along with the venue, already feels incredibly inspiring, and since it’s our very first time in Shenzhen, we’re hoping to gather many new impressions and ideas along the way.

It’s honestly quite rare for us to find ceramic pieces that feel both simple and truly unique. Luckily, our talented Japanese artist friend, who lives quietly in Chiang Mai, has finally launched a new collection — including these perfectly imperfect matcha bowls we absolutely adore.

【 jun accessories 】

‘jun accessories’ is one of our favorite local brands — a good friend and ally in the craft community. They run a small café alongside their handmade bead accessories.

What we admire most about junjun’s work is that no two pieces are ever the same. Each ceramic bead is made one by one, then combined with randomly found materials in their own playful way. Every new collection always gives us something exciting to discover.

【 slow down, doing craft 】

‘jibberish’ stencil work is back!

We’re doing Katazome (Japanese paper stencil dyeing) as usual — painting directly onto fabric with an ebony and banana rubber glue mixture. Perfectly imperfect, handmade, and unique as always ~

The knot bags with natural ink stencil will be available from Monday :))
