In this FLOM class, we used air-dry clay and different shapes of pasta to create an underwater scene filled with beautiful coral reefs.

We also made jellyfish from recycled transparent plastic containers and added soft lighting. The handmade jellyfish lamps bring a magical, dreamy underwater atmosphere to the children’s bedside.

This time at FLOM, we explored the theme of jellyfish through free and creative expression.

Using crayons, the children experienced the texture of the material and the changes created by different levels of pressure. They also observed how the direction of each line and the amount of pressure could change the depth and quality of color.

It was a time to explore the characteristics of the material through hands-on experience and enjoy expressing ideas in their own individual ways.

This time at FLOM, we created our own ramen models using dry clay.

The children observed the different ingredients that make up a bowl of ramen—noodles, eggs, meat, and vegetables—and explored how to recreate their unique shapes and textures with clay.

Through shaping and combining each element by hand, they naturally explored three-dimensional form and texture while completing their own individual bowls of ramen.

It was a fun hands-on experience that encouraged the children to connect careful observation with sensory exploration and creative expression.

In this FLOM class, we explored scale models commonly used in architectural design by creating our own miniature art museums. 🏛️

By placing human figures inside their models, the children were able to compare the relationship between people and space while developing a natural understanding of scale, proportion, distance, and spatial awareness.

Each child also designed the structure and layout of their own museum, bringing their individual ideas into a small architectural space.

In this FLOM class, we explored familiar packaging materials such as bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard as tools for visual expression.
By repeatedly printing their distinctive textures and patterns onto paper, the children built their own graphic compositions, adding their names, spontaneous words, or self-created logos. They then designed tin-can planters and filled them with flowers, each interpreted in a uniquely personal way.
Starting from a simple printing process, the class naturally introduced ideas of texture, composition, graphic design, and typography.
A playful exercise in looking at ordinary materials differently and transforming familiar forms into each child’s own visual language.

In our recent FLOM class, the children created a flower-filled garden scene using acrylic paint and clay, adding texture and dimension to their artwork.

In particular, they explored a painting technique by gently tapping the brush onto the canvas, allowing different colors to naturally overlap and create a richer, more vibrant sense of color.
