At Mycelium, we are constantly dedicated to supporting talented local artists, as we truly believe that our community thrives on their music and unique stories. Today, we are incredibly excited to chat with East Velvet, another amazing talent in our scene, to dive deep into his musical journey and visions.
Here is our exclusive Q&A with East Velvet:
Q1: When did you start making music, and how does it influence and inspire you?
A: Music entered my life 33 years ago—starting with the guitar, then very quickly moving on to electronic gear.
Sound engineering became a natural part of my journey; therefore music has been part of my daily life since the end of the last millennium!
Music opened me; it helps me focus and channel all my energy in a single direction. Playing every day for over 30 years—this is my greatest victory!
Q2: What would you like to see in our community in the future?
A: Seriously, the connection between the stages and each collective was arguably the best surprise for me at the last edition of Mycellium.
“Fluid” and “cohesive”—those are the two words that sprang to mind! But let’s be honest... another day or two would be amazing!!!
Q3: What would you like to say to people who have never been to Mycelium?
A: If you love the music and spirit of the Thai community—along with an exceptional lineup curated by passionate enthusiasts who perform themselves—come join us and spread the word to the right people!
As the festivals grow, the audience expands too. This risks gradually altering the original atmosphere, which has so far remained... authentic and underground!
We’re living through Mycellium’s best years! See you there!
