ENEEF Appoints Dato’ Tan Tiam Loo as Honorary International Advisor

EMERGING NORTH-EAST ECO FORUM (ENEEF) is honoured to announce the appointment of Dato’ Tan Tiam Loo, DIMP as an Honorary International Advisor for a 3-year term (1 Dec 2025 – 30 Nov 2028). This appointment reflects ENEEF’s commitment to building strategic partnerships and long-term international collaboration.

Dato’ Tan is a respected business consultant with 50 years of corporate and governance experience, spanning business transformation, organisational structuring, financial planning, compliance, and digital transformation. He currently serves as Deputy Chairman of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TARUMT), Malaysia's Advisory Committee for Business Development, Collaboration and Internationalisation. His expertise, leadership, and global professional network will be a valuable asset to ENEEF’s future initiatives.

This appointment aims to strengthen ENEEF’s mission to develop a sustainable, inclusive, and globally connected Northeast India through knowledge exchange, strategic guidance, and responsible cross-border collaboration.

An exclusive dinner discussion was graciously hosted by Ambassador Thanathip Upatasing at his residence. With a distinguished diplomatic career as Former Ambassador to Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Russia, Ambassador Upatasing welcomed respected diplomats, government representatives, and business leaders for an evening of strategic dialogue—supporting meaningful exchange between Thailand and Northeast India.

During the gathering, Mr. Satyajit Aribam, Chairman of ENEEF (Emerging North-East Eco Forum), together with Mr. Niranchai Tripati (Nick) from ENEEF Thailand, shared updates on ENEEF’s direction and its mission to strengthen the tourism ecosystem of Northeast India through sustainability, collaboration, and community empowerment. ENEEF Chairman Meets Thai Aerospace Industries to Discuss Future Collaboration

Mr. Satyajit Aribam, Chairman of ENEEF (Emerging North-East Eco Forum), held an official meeting with Mr. Chris Atswalongkorn from Thai Aerospace Industries, Thailand, to discuss future collaboration and explore opportunities for long-term partnership.

Thai Aerospace Industries (TAI) is an aviation services provider supporting the aerospace and aviation sector through key capabilities such as aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), spare parts and technical support, as well as specialized engineering and aviation-related services across different operational needs.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged perspectives on strategic directions and shared interests, with a focus on building a foundation for cooperation that can be expanded in the future through professional networks, operational expertise, and cross-sector connectivity.

A meaningful cultural milestone took place today, 14 January 2026, at Thai Bharat Cultural Lodge (TBCL), Bangkok.

Mr. Satyajit Aribam, Chairman of ENEEF (Emerging North-East Eco Forum), presented a cultural souvenir from Northeast India to the representatives of Thai Bharat Cultural Lodge (TBCL) — marking a shared commitment to cultural exchange and long-term collaboration between Northeast India and Thailand.

The TBCL delegation was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sophana Srijampa, Committee Member of TBCL and affiliated with the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA), Mahidol University, together with Shri Rajendra Pandey, Joint Secretary, Thai Bharat Cultural Lodge (TBCL).

This occasion also marked an important official announcement:
ENEEF has officially appointed Ms. Mangka Mayanglambam as the Cultural Ambassador of ENEEF.

Ms. Mangka will be performing in Bangkok in February 2026 at Thai Bharat Cultural Lodge (TBCL), and will play an active role in promoting the culture of Northeast India across Thailand and Southeast Asia through cultural performance and public engagement.

In addition, ENEEF will establish its office at TBCL as a cultural and information hub — strengthening connectivity, facilitating knowledge-sharing, and supporting ongoing cultural exchange between Thailand and Northeast India.

Mr. Satyajit Aribam, Chairman of ENEEF (Emerging North-East Eco Forum), met with Mr. Nattapume Pavaratn, Senior Vice President (Commercial) of SCGJWD Logistics, in Bangkok to strengthen strategic collaboration and explore opportunities for expanding logistics and supply chain development in North-East India.
The meeting focused on identifying potential partnership areas in logistics operations, supply chain management, and regional connectivity, with the shared objective of supporting economic growth and enabling smoother trade flows between India and Southeast Asia. Both parties agreed to maintain close coordination and explore practical frameworks for cooperation with relevant stakeholders in the region.
As a next step, ENEEF and SCGJWD Logistics plan to organize a visit to Guwahati in March 2026, to continue discussions and engage with key partners on the ground. This engagement will support the development of concrete collaboration initiatives aligned with the region’s expanding logistics capabilities.
This strategic dialogue also aligns with the Government of India’s broader vision of transforming the Northeast into a logistics and aviation hub, positioning the region as a vital gateway linking India with Southeast Asia. With significant infrastructure development underway—including multimodal logistics parks in Tripura and Assam—Guwahati is increasingly emerging as a key logistics center supporting regional integration.
With strengthened connectivity, policy support, and growing investment, North-East India is poised to play a larger role in regional logistics networks, reinforcing trade, commerce, and long-term economic cooperation across the India–Southeast Asia corridor.

ENEEF และ SCGJWD Logistics กระชับความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ ขยายโอกาสโลจิสติกส์สู่ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของอินเดีย

นาย สัตยาจิต อริบัม (Mr. Satyajit Aribam) ประธานองค์กร ENEEF (Emerging North-East Eco Forum) ได้เข้าพบหารือกับ คุณณัฐภูมิ เปาวรัตน์ รองประธานอาวุโส (SVP) สายงานพาณิชย์ (Commercial) บริษัท SCGJWD Logistics ณ กรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อกระชับความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ และหารือแนวทางการขยายโอกาสด้าน โลจิสติกส์และการบริหารจัดการซัพพลายเชน สู่ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของอินเดีย (North-East India)
การหารือครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นการแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองและกำหนดกรอบความร่วมมือในด้าน การดำเนินงานโลจิสติกส์ การพัฒนาซัพพลายเชน และการเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายการขนส่งในระดับภูมิภาค โดยมีเป้าหมายร่วมกันในการสนับสนุนการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ และส่งเสริมการไหลเวียนทางการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างอินเดียกับเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น ทั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องในการประสานความร่วมมืออย่างใกล้ชิด และพิจารณาแนวทางการดำเนินงานร่วมกับผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องสำคัญในพื้นที่อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
ในขั้นตอนถัดไป ENEEF และ SCGJWD Logistics มีแผนจัดการเดินทางเยือนเมือง กูวาฮาติ (Guwahati) ในเดือน มีนาคม 2026 เพื่อหารือเชิงลึกเพิ่มเติม ตลอดจนพบปะพันธมิตรและผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียหลักในภูมิภาค เพื่อพัฒนาความร่วมมือไปสู่การดำเนินโครงการที่สามารถต่อยอดได้จริง
ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวยังสอดคล้องกับวิสัยทัศน์ของรัฐบาลอินเดียในการผลักดันภูมิภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือให้เป็น ศูนย์กลางโลจิสติกส์และการบิน (Logistics & Aviation Hub) และเป็นประตูสำคัญในการเชื่อมโยงอินเดียสู่เอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยเมืองกูวาฮาติได้เริ่มมีบทบาทเด่นในฐานะศูนย์กลางโลจิสติกส์ของภูมิภาค จากการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่กำลังดำเนินการอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมถึงโครงการ Multimodal Logistics Parks ในรัฐ ตริปุระ (Tripura) และ อัสสัม (Assam)
ด้วยการพัฒนาโครงข่ายคมนาคม การสนับสนุนเชิงนโยบาย และการลงทุนที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของอินเดียมีแนวโน้มเติบโตเป็นศูนย์กลางโลจิสติกส์ที่สำคัญในอนาคต พร้อมเสริมศักยภาพด้านการค้า การพาณิชย์ และความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจในระยะยาวบนเส้นทาง อินเดีย–เอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

It was an honour to meet Ms. Rujikorn Jane Saengchartr, Director-General, Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Thailand. We exchanged views on strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Thailand and India, with a special focus on opportunities in North East India.
