Where Life Begins
Perhaps a space is not made
by walls, tables, or light.
Perhaps it begins
when something inside us
dares to become alive.
A moon watches quietly
over two small souls,
holding flowers in their hands,
a glass of wine between them,
as if the world
has always been a little strange,
and that is perfectly alright.
Outside, the trees keep growing.
Inside, another world does too.
Nothing here asks to be understood.
The flowers bloom.
The moon remains.
The wine catches the light.
And somewhere between
what was imagined
and what was built,
a space begins to breathe.
Perhaps this is what we call ALIEN —
not a place to escape the world,
but a place
where we remember
that life
can still be imagined differently.
