ขอแสดงความยินดีกับภาพยนตร์ทุกเรื่องที่ชนะรางวัลการประกวดในเทศกาลภาพยนตร์นานาชาติ กรุงเทพมหานคร ปี 2568 โดยในปีนี้มีการประกวด 4 สาขา ได้แก่ International Competition, New Voices, Asian Short Films Competition และ Thai Panorama
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
โปรแกรมประกวดสำหรับภาพยนตร์นานาชาติ ตัดสินโดยคณะกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากนานาชาติ 5 ท่าน ได้แก่

ภาพยนตร์ที่สร้างสรรค์และฉงนสนเท่ห์ เชิญชวนเราให้เข้าไปยังโลกที่เวลาหายใจได้และความทรงจำเคลื่อนไหวผ่านภูมิทัศน์ที่ทั้งหยุดนิ่งและเคลื่อนไหว หนังเข้าใจถึงเอกลักษณ์แห่งผัสสะพื้นผิวของภาพยนตร์ สร้างภาษาแห่งภาพและเสียงที่ทั้งลึกลับและเป็นตัวของตัวเอง ในช่วงเวลาที่ภาพยนตร์ชื่นชมความคมชัด หมดจด หนังเรื่องนี้โดดเด่นด้วยการโอบรับพื้นผิวอันขรุขระ ไม่สมบูรณ์แบบ และเนื้อหนังที่จับต้องได้ของสื่อภาพยนตร์ กรรมการมองเห็นถึงกวามกล้าหาญแบบไม่ต้องตะโกน ความขี้เล่นและความมั่นใจ รวมทั้งวิสัยทัศน์อันโดดเด่นในการนำเสนอมิติเวลาและพื้นที่ กำกับโดย Alexandre Koberidze

การประกวดสำหรับภาพยนตร์เอเชีย ที่กำกับโดยผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์เรื่องแรก หรือเรื่องที่ 2-3 โดยมีคณะกรรมการ 3 ท่าน ได้แก่

“SECRET OF A MOUNTAIN SERPENT”
กรรมการขอมอบรางวัล New Voices Award ให้กับภาพยนตร์ที่เชิญชวนให้เรามองโลกผ่านสายตาของผู้หญิง เปิดเผยแรงปรารถนาที่มักถูกกดให้เงียบเชียบหรือไร้ตัวตนในโลกโกลบอลเซาท์ หนังมีการแสดงที่ละเอียดลึกซึ้ง ใช้ภาษาภาพของตำนานและเรื่องเล่า จนทำให้ความกลัวและการถูกดกดทับกลายเป็นการตื่นรู้และอิสรภาพ ช่วยส่งเสียงจากตัวตนภายในของผู้หญิง ที่มักถูกหลงลืมไม่ใส่ใจ รางวัล New Voices Award ได้แก่ Secret of a Mountain Serpent กำกับโดย Nidhi Saxena

ภาพอันใกล้ชิดของคุณยายที่ยังคงยึดมั่นในแนวทางการดำเนินชีวิตที่กำลังจะสูญหายไป ทำให้เราตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมและความจำเป็นในการส่งต่อเรื่องเล่าไปยังคนรุ่นหลัง หนังสามารถจับภาพความสวยงาม ความเบาหวิวของความทรงจำ ภาษา และประเพณีของกลุ่มชาติพันธ์ุที่ใกล้จะสูญหายไปกับกาลเวลา กรรมการมอบรางวัล Special Mention ให้กับภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Hair, Paper, Water… กำกับโดย Nicolas Graux, Truong Minh Quy

การประกวดสำหรับภาพยนตร์ขนาดสั้นจากเอเชีย ตัดสินโดยคณะกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากนานาชาติจำนวน 3 ท่าน ได้แก่

This year’s festival featured four competition categories: International Competition, New Voices, Asian Short Films Competition, and Thai Panorama.

A competitive section for international films. Judging will be carried out by a panel of distinguished international film experts.

“DRY LEAF”
Inventive and mesmerizing, this film invites us into a world where time seems to breathe and memory drifts across shifting landscapes of stillness and motion. With a unique sensitivity to the materiality of cinema, it creates a visual and sonic language that feels both mysterious and completely its own. At a time when cinema celebrates the clean and unambiguous, this film stands apart—embracing texture, imperfection, and the tactile presence of our medium. The jury recognizes its quiet courage, playful confidence, and remarkable vision of time and space, directed by Alexandre Koberidze.

National and personal traumas converge in a haunting space where the forgotten and repressed find their way of returning in this film that seeks to understand memories. Its bold, intuitive, and enthralling audio-visual language underlines and corresponds with the intimate female voices ruminating on troubling existences, whilst the emphasis on the act of seeing in various forms becomes a metaphor for cinema and its relationship with the subconscious, where fragmentation and mystery communicate deeper meanings beyond what’s visible and speakable, directed by Mascha Schilinski.
✨BEST DIRECTOR
“I ONLY REST IN THE STORM”
A cinematic tour de force that throws its actors and audiences alike into the unknown. Cleverly structured while remaining open to chance present in each situation, the story offers a full range of complexity, confronting the realities of post-colonial identity from multiple perspectives. The film examines Europe’s intervention in Africa’s modernization without shying away from its own complicity, refusing easy answers and instead creating a space for reflection and critical reckoning, directed by Pedro Pinho.

This competitive section screens Asian films by first-, second-, or third-time directors.

“SECRET OF A MOUNTAIN SERPENT”
This year’s New Voice Award goes to a film that invites us to see the world through a woman’s gaze, revealing desires often silenced or unseen in the global south. Through richly nuanced performances and the mythic language of folklore, the film transforms repression and fear into revelation and freedom. For giving a feminine voice to the interior lives often left unexamined, the New Voice Award goes to Secret of a Mountain Serpent by Nidhi Saxena
✨SPECIAL MENTION
“HAIR, PAPER, WATER…”
Through the intimate portrait of a grandmother holding on to her disappearing way of life, we are reminded of the importance of heritage and the vital act of passing one’s culture and stories to the next generation. For capturing both the beauty and fragility of memory, language, and tradition within an endangered ethnic minority community, we give a Special Mention to Hair, Paper, Water...by Nicolas Graux, Truong Minh Quy
ASIAN SHORT FILMS COMPETITION
This section features 15 short films from Asian filmmakers. Judging will be carried out by a panel of international experts.

“DELAY” และ “ATTOCK”
The jury was deeply touched by two outstanding films, so we have decided to award both
films by splitting the main prize.
The Best Asian Short Film Award goes to these two films: ‘Attock' by Awais Gohar, and
‘Delay' by Wang Han-Xuan.

The jury would like to award a special mention to the film ‘Grandma Nai Who Plays Favorites’ by Chheangkea.
