Carl St.Clair concludes his first season as Music Director with a musical experience larger than life. Orff’s monumental Carmina Burana for massed choir, three vocal soloists, and orchestra celebrates the full range of human passion and desire. From the fresh joys of springtime to the rowdy revelry of the tavern and the sensual pleasures of love, Orff’s music delivers an electrifying feast of rhythm, power, and raw emotion. The program starts more intimately, with the Philharmonic Chorus of Tokyo featured in specially-chosen set of a capella works. Join us as the Philharmonic Chorus of Tokyo, the Choirs of Mahidol University, and three world-class soloists, TPO brings the 2025–26 season to a thrilling, unforgettable finale.

Internationally acclaimed cellist Li-Wei Qin delivered a remarkable performance as soloist in Richard Strauss’s Don Quixote, bringing extraordinary depth, energy, and expression to this iconic work. Under the baton of Maestro Carl St.Clair, the TPO brought the entire program to life with power and artistry.

From Mozart’s Don Giovanni Overture, through Strauss’s Don Quixote, to the dazzling colors of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio espagnole, the concert took audiences on a vivid musical journey filled with drama, imagination, and emotion.

The Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra is delighted to welcome internationally acclaimed cellist Li-Wei Qin, Silver Medalist at the International Tchaikovsky Competition and First Prize winner of the Naumburg Competition.

One of the world's most distinguished cellists, Li-Wei Qin has appeared at prestigious venues including the BBC Proms and Royal Albert Hall, and has performed with leading orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony, and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
