✨For nearly five decades, Huck Finn Jubilee has been more than a festival.
It’s been families growing up together. Friendships formed around campsites. Kids becoming parents and bringing their own kids back. Legendary artists on stage, and pickers still playing long after the stage lights go down.
For 48 incredible years, this community has kept a pretty special piece of bluegrass history alive.
And that’s exactly why we’ve made the difficult decision to take a beat this year.
✨As things stand today, there will not be a Huck Finn Jubilee in California this October.😢
The reality of producing an independent festival like Huck has changed dramatically. Artist fees, travel, equipment, production and nearly every other cost continue to climb.
Rather than compromise the Huck Finn experience, or simply pass those costs along, we believe the responsible thing to do is pause, restructure and build toward what comes next.
✨We’re approaching something pretty extraordinary: 50 years of Huck Finn Jubilee. Very few independent festivals ever reach a milestone like that, and we want to get there with the heart, spirit and community that have made Huck special from the beginning.
We’re taking this time to rethink the model, strengthen the foundation and build the next chapter of Huck Finn.
