KHAN NATHI /กาญจน์ นทีวุฒิกุล ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากแนวคิดของ Lewis Mumford ที่มองว่า “เมือง” คือพลังแห่งการเปลี่ยนผ่าน ซึ่งแปรรูปพลังงานและสสารให้กลายเป็นวัฒนธรรม ชุดผลงาน Monocoque Series จึงสะท้อนแนวคิดของโครงสร้างแบบเอกภาพ—พื้นที่ที่รูปทรง ระบบ และจินตนาการหลอมรวมกัน จนเกิดเป็นการแสดงออกทางเมืองรูปแบบใหม่
ในความหมายของศิลปิน “Monocoque” คือการสำรวจความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพื้นผิวที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นโครงสร้าง และโครงสร้างที่กลับกลายเป็นพื้นผิว ผลงานมีลักษณะเป็นพื้นผิวนูนต่ำ ราวกับลอยพ้นออกมาจากกรอบเฟรม สร้างขึ้นจากแคนวาสและผ้าฝ้ายสีขาวที่ถูกพับซ้อนอย่างประณีต แม้รูปทรงจะเรียบง่ายและตรงไปตรงมา แต่กลับแฝงไว้ด้วยมิติอันละเอียดอ่อนของแสงและการรับรู้เชิงพื้นที่ เมื่อผู้ชมเคลื่อนเปลี่ยนมุมมอง ตำแหน่งและมิติของผลงานก็เสมือนเปลี่ยนแปลงตามไปด้วย เผยให้เห็นจังหวะของเงา การสะท้อน และการเคลื่อนไหวอันแผ่วเบา ศิลปินชวนผู้ชมใคร่ครวญถึงเส้นแบ่งอันเลื่อนไหลระหว่างวัสดุ สถาปัตยกรรม และประสบการณ์ทางประสาทสัมผัสของพื้นที่ร่วมสมัย

KHAN NATHI / Kan Nathiwutthikun draws inspiration from the ideas of Lewis Mumford, who viewed the city as a transformative force that converts energy and matter into culture. Her Monocoque Series reflects the concept of a unified structure—where form, system, and imagination merge into a new mode of urban expression.
In the artist’s interpretation, “monocoque” becomes an exploration of the relationship between surface as structure and structure as surface. The works feature low-relief forms that appear to float beyond the boundaries of the frame, constructed from layered white canvas and folded cotton fabric with meticulous precision. Though minimal and direct in appearance, the pieces reveal a profound sensitivity to light and spatial perception.As viewers shift their perspective, the position of the work seems to transform, unveiling rhythms of shadow, reflection, and subtle movement. KHAN NATHI invites contemplation on the fluid boundaries between material, architecture, and the sensory experience of space.
