INTRODUCTION
Kinetic Poetic is a unique performance concept, fusing spoken word poetry with live improvised music. Over its 4+ year life-span in Bangkok, the concept has garnered a loyal fan base of both performers and audience members, facilitating the multi-lingual multi-genre sharing of stories and experiences from around the world.

2023 saw substantial growth in the concept, delivering 2 shows per month in Bangkok. The year also saw the first international manifestations, with shows in Phnom Penh and HaNoi. Both of these generated the creation of local Kinetic Poetic communities in these two cities. The year culminated in Kinetic Poetic performing at Thailand’s Wonderfruit Festival, one of Asia’s largest music and lifestyle festivals. All these expansive experiences demonstrated the depth and breadth of the concept’s vitality and applicability in a multitude of settings, from intimate bars to large festival stages. In 2024, Kinetic Poetic is looking towards a future that empowers poets, musicians and audiences alike around the region and beyond, forging connected communities and telling truly human stories. Kinetic Poetic is an unforgettable experience of artistic expression, as some of Bangkok's most talented spoken word poets and vocalists take the stage to share their powerful, thought-provoking pieces. Our poets share their words, thoughts, and stories with you, exploring the depths of human experience, touching on themes of love, loss, identity, and much much more. As each poet weaves their story, the accompanying live improvised music from the Kinetic Poetic Collective band creates a unique soundtrack to each poetry performance. Their improvised melodies and beats flow with the words and enhance the emotions, elevating the performance to new heights, creating a dynamic and immersive experience that leaves audiences breathless, feeling connected, moved and inspired. From cinematic to rock, funk to hip hop, jazz to ambient experimental and everything in between, the Kinetic Poetic Collective band deliver live improvised music as diverse as the poets they are accompanying. And with each musical performance being improvised and unique, no two performances will ever be the same.
