This video demonstrates the effectiveness of AI-powered Audio Noise Reduction (ANR) in an extremely challenging real-world environment.
The original footage is sourced from The Weather Network, recorded during a live report in Grand Etang, Nova Scotia, where intense hurricane conditions created overwhelming wind noise. In such situations, the reporter’s voice becomes difficult to understand due to the extreme background interference.
Using advanced AI-based audio processing, we applied ANR to reduce the dominant wind noise while preserving and enhancing the clarity of the reporter’s voice. The goal is not to remove all ambient sound, but to intelligently balance the audio so that speech remains clear and natural.
In this video, you will see a direct swap comparison between the original clip and the post-processed result. By alternating between the two, you can clearly recognize how the ANR improves speech intelligibility while maintaining the realism of the scene.
