Visual Symbiosis Project explores ways in which various media and ideas interact, co-exist or depend upon each other as singularly new narrative form or enhance its own traditional essence. The project emphasizes on visual media such as photography, motion pictures, sound, graphic and space design. Selected works will be in series of exhibitions and in form of small film festival throughout the year 2019.
(any kind of) cross genre, fiction or non fiction, combination of fictional + non-fictional narrative, non narrative with strong visual elements, combination of media and/or media installation, soundscapes with proposal of possible space design, still photographs with strong contents and innovative presentation design (concerning limitation of exhibition space)
Selection Process (for both film festival and series exhibitions) :
Official Selection - project curators decide on which film / media will be represented
Invitation - project committee invite film makers / artists
Juried Selection (not in 2019) - call for entries
วิชวลซิมไบโอซิส โปรเจค ศึกษากระบวนการทางความคิดและสื่อหลากหลายแขนง ที่มีปฏิกิริยาต่อกัน อยู่ร่วมกัน หรือพึ่งพาซึ่งกันและกัน ทั้งในฐานะของการกลายร่างไปสู่วิธีการเล่าเรื่องแบบใหม่ หรือ เพียงแค่ปรับสภาพเดิมของตนเอง โครงการเน้นงานประเภท สื่อทัศนภาพ (visual media) ศิลปะภาพถ่าย ภาพยนตร์ เสียง กราฟฟิค งานออกแบบพื้นที่ (space design) ผลงานคัดเลือกจะนำสู่สาธารณะในรูปแบบนิทรรศการ และ เทศกาลภาพยนตร์ขนาดเล็กตอดปี ค.ศ. 2019
ประเภทของงาน : ภาพยนตร์ประเภทข้ามแนว (cross genre) ภาพยนตร์สั้นเชิงทดลอง วิดีโอซีเควน งานที่ผสมระหว่างความเป็นสารคดีและความเป็นนิยาย งานประเภท non narrative ที่มีความแข็งแรงทาง visual elements งานเชิงความคิดประเภทสื่อติดตั้ง (media installation) งานที่มีแต่เสียง (soundscapes) พร้อมข้อเสนอในการออกแบบติดตั้งในพื้นที่นิทรรศการ/เทศกาล งานภาพนิ่งที่มีเนื้อหาเข้มข้นและนำเสนอด้วยนวัตกรรม พร้อมแผนงานติดตั้งที่เป็นไปได้ในพื้นที่นิทรรศการ/เทศกาล

Official Selection - โปรเจคคิวเรเตอร์เป็นผู้เลือกผลงาน
Invitation - คณะกรรมการคัดสรรค์เป็นผู้เลือกผลงานและเชิญศิลปิน/ผู้สร้างภาพยนตร์
Juried Selection (ยังไม่เริ่มในปี 2019) - เปิดรับสมัคร คณะกรรมการตัดสินเป็นผู้คัดเลือก
