The Department of English and Linguistics, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University will host an international conference on “ELT in the Digital Age.”

It is undeniable that the role of Engli

sh language as the primary medium of communication for world citizens has become increasingly important in the digital age. Over recent years, English language teaching has undergone considerable change shaped by a variety of factors including individual needs, learning styles, cultural values, multiculturalism, and digital innovations. However, pathways to success in teaching English to ESL and EFL learners can be a challenging task as there is no specific language teaching formula that suits learners in all contexts. It should be incumbent on individual teachers to be aware of academic developments within the field of ELT in order to apply different teaching approaches appropriate for their students. Insights into these academic developments will not only broaden our knowledge of English language teaching in the digital age but also provide a valuable forum for all participants to gain understanding of various issues in ELT through academic exchanges and discussions.

Don't miss our Thammasat University International Conference: ELT in the Digital Age.
As the conference is approaching we would like to provide you with the general conference participant information.

REGISTRATION DESKS WILL BE OPEN FROM 8 AM ON 6 JULY 2017.
The registration desk will be located at the Faculty of Liberal Arts on the Ground floor, Thammasat University, Tha Phrachan campus.
CONFERENCE VENUES
The following five venues will be used for the conference: Room 201, 202, 206, 207, 208, 209, 211, 212 on the Second floor, Liberal Arts building.
Opening Address by Assistant Prof. Dr. Nitinant Wisaweisuan Room 402 from 9 am.
