AMANDINE URRUTY : THE MODEL

Amandine Urruty est née en 1982, elle vit et travaille à Paris - sur son lit - une valise débordant de crayons toujours à portée de main. À l'occasion du lancement de la monographie Made in the Dark aux éditions Cernunnos, la galerie Arts Factory présente l'exposition The Model, cinq ans après le dernier solo show parisien en date de la dessinatrice Amandine Urruty. Richement illustré, ce livre revient en près de 300 pages sur quinze années de créativité débridée avec une préface de Pacôme Thiellement et des contributions de Philippe Katerine, Stéphane Blanquet, Thomas Bernard et David Cantolla, co-fondateur de la Collection d'Art Solo à Madrid.

On their harried way through the MRT Chatuchak park station, commuters passing through exit 4 might glance at what looks like distorted geometrical color fields, but turn a corner and see those large patches from just the right angle, and suddenly Rukkit’s signature art will stare right at you.

Bukruk is back challenging our perception with Thailand’s first anamorphic installation by top urban artist Rukkit. Part of the MRT’s new arty campaign to spice up people’s routine, Rukkit’s giant gorilla awaits you to be immersed in this playful public art piece in the heart of one of the busiest MRT stations.

Bukruk กลับมาท้าทายการรับรู้ของเราอีกครั้งด้วยการติดตั้ง Anamorphic แรกในประเทศไทยโดยศิลปินชั้นนำอย่าง Rukkitส่วนหนึ่งของแคมเปญศิลปะของ MRT เพื่อมากระตุ้นชีวิตประจำวันของเรา กอริลลาขนาดมหึมาของ Rukkit กำลังรอคุณอยู่ในชิ้นงานศิลปะใจกลางสถานีรถไฟใต้ดินที่คึกคักที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของกรุงเทพ

ผ่านมาแล้ว เมื่อต้นปี
ในวันที่อากาศหนาวเย็น มากๆ จนผมเกือบจะลืมไปแล้ว ... ว่ามีวันที่อากาศเปลี่ยน

ว่าเราต้องไปห้างในคืนวันนั้น เพื่อซื้อเสื้อกันหนาว ...เราเดินทางมา กทม ด้วยเสื้อบางๆและที่แปลกดีคือ ระหว่างที่พ่นสีกำแพง ผมอยู่ในชุดที่สวมเสื้อหนา โดยปกติ ทุกครั้งที่ไปพ่นนอกสถานที่...

January saw some of Europe and Asia's best street artists take over the walls of Bangkok as part of the Bukruk Urban Arts Festival.  The festival has left a colorful legacy, with awesome artworks you can still check out on the walls around the Bangrak neighborhood.
