Tang Contemporary Art Bangkok is honored to present the opening reception of “A Place We Share,” a solo exhibition by Kitti Narod, on Saturday, 12 September 2026 at Tang Contemporary Art Bangkok, at 4:00 pm.

Curated by Cynthia Liu, the exhibition presents a new body of work rendered in the aspect ratio of a mobile phone screen — a deliberate frame that reflects how we now witness daily life, identity, and the news. Rather than passing judgment, the works stand as a record of what is seen and felt.

An Escape to the Moon (奔月): Oil on canvas; 2022

In the circular "An Escape to the Moon," ancient mythological imagery and posthuman mechanical structures are kneaded into one rotating vortex, where the boundaries of all matter turn semi-permeable in the high-speed spin.

About the Artist | ZHOU SONG b. 1982, Jiangxi, China

Zhou Song, born in 1982 in Jiangxi, graduated in 2006 from the Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and currently works and lives in Beijing. His solo exhibitions have been held at locations including the Aurora Museum in Shanghai (2025), Powerlong Art Museum in Shanghai (2024), Osthaus Museum Hagen in Germany (2023), Kunstraum Villa Friede in Bonn, Germany (2023), Guardian Art Center in Beijing (2022), How Art Museum in Shanghai (2022), and Today Art Museum in Beijing (2009).

About the Artist | CHEN QIN b. 1990, Fujian, China

Chen Qin was born in Fujian in 1990 and graduated in 2015 with a major in Public Sculpture from the China Academy of Art, where she also received the Public College Graduate Award. In the same year, she founded the Shijin Art Studio and is currently a member of the Zhejiang Sculpture Association, residing in Hangzhou.

Chen Qin's work emanates an innate spontaneity, a quality intensified by her transformative evolution. In Southern Fujian, her native region, the homecoming of overseas Chinese and their profound national sentiment constituted not only a vital source of support but also shaped a distinctive tropical built environment suffused with "Nanyang" aesthetics. The moist, low-saturation reddish-brown architecture, adorned with plaid and diamond motifs, permeated her formative environment, making the healing, retro, and visually arresting color palette a natural vocabulary for her pictorial spaces. In Chen Qin's paintings, the genesis of life is articulated as a process of replication; her blended narrative unfolds with the gentle, lingering cadence of wind-borne waves.
