They're dressed up as a New Year angel Kirini Devi, the fifth daughter of Maha Brahma.
The New Year celebration usually involves gentle pouring of water as a sign of respect to the recipient.
People of Cambodia, Thailand, Lao and Myanmar also carry out a cleansing ritual by cleaning their houses, washing buddha’s statues and temples and reciting prayers.
