YAWO Yawo, whose real name is Gbogbotsi Yawovi Zoly Zo, was born on January 29, 1970 in Lomé (TOGO). Yawo lives and works in Lomé From 1986-198: Student in the painting workshop at Ahlin Kwawu, where he acquired the mastery of pastel drawing and painting. 1992: Participation in training and refresher workshops organized by the Goethe Institute in Lomé 1993: Exhibitor at Grafolie (Salon Africaine des Arts Plastiques) in Abidjan (Coast ivory) 1996-1997: collaborates with the artistic group Vohou-Vohou and makes research on traditional materials in Abidjan 1998: Personal exhibition at the Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) 2001: Group exhibition at the Palais de la culture de Treichville in Abidjan, Ivory Coast) 2003: Personal exhibition at the Hôtel du Lac in Agbodrafo (TOGO) 2009: Personal exhibition at the “Le Karité bleu” Residence in Ouagadougou 2022: Exhibition in St-Ursanne at the Galerie des Annonciades
