We’re excited to welcome Ka-Tembe Connexion, the project in residence at Eswatini Theatre Club on the 18th of May. This project was incepted during Performance Week Mbabane, in December last year, bringing together Mozambican musicians and Eswatini musicians.

Ka-Tembe (Catembe) references a placed tied to the early migration of the Dlamini Empire, central to the formation of the Swazi Nation. In this way, the project is not only a musical collaboration but also a narrative of becoming, tracing pathways of movement, memory and identity that continue to resonate today.

This residency is made possible through the support of Cultiv’arte, facilitated by Eswatini Theatre Club & 16NetO in collaboration with Bush Fire Festival and Antidote Culture Foundation.

We’re excited to welcome back The Headcount to Eswatini Theatre Club! We’ll be celebrating J Dilla and his massive contributions to hip hop as we know it.

Headcount is the pioneering Eswatini hip hop movement, and it’s only fitting they return to Theatre Club during Dilla month.
