Swaziland Theatre Club

Swaziland Theatre Club This being the official page, the public can now access information about the business and any activities that happen within our premises. All are welcome :)

So this page shall serve as a medium of communication between club members and all others interested in or already taking part in the day to day activities in the club. A brief history would be;the place was founded in 1963 by Peter Bellenden and a year later the clubhouse was open. 1968 was the year when the theatre was erected thus becoming the idle place to spend your leisure time and there aft

er , in 1971 the clubhouse workshop was opened. The theatre club still remains the one and only THEATRE (not cinema) in the country and thus making it a valuable treasure to the Kingdom. The premises include ,firstly, the theatre which I joined together with the foyer and bar. Shows and plays are immensely supported and come as often as the year goes. Outside we have the pool and a small but wonderful view of the Prince of Wales field. The studio becomes the last beautiful asset of the club where local artist and aspiring artist record their works . The tradition of respecting the membership title is still practised and thus makes the theatre a very safe and trustworthy area.
