During one year we stayed open against all odds. We resisted, we fought to offer in the middle of the craziness and the darkness an oasis of music and lights.
Even when the situation was terrible and awful we didn't close a single night because we believed that it was our duty to give people some normality in these insane times.
Despite the inflation and the value of the dollar, we never increased our prices, we even decreased them. We were one of the last bar/lounge in the old city, one of the last place in which people could celebrate and have fun.
Today we decided to close Pure Lounge. It was not an easy decision but we had to take it. This lounge was an amazing adventure and a great experience.
We wanted to thanks all our friends and our guests, all the people who gave to this place a soul. We'll always keep in mind the memories we've with all of you.
I wanted also to thanks my great partners and friends: Jihad Massoud, Mustapha Attar I think it's complicated to find better people than them. Supportive and courageous, they did their best with me till the end to keep the place open.
I wanted to personally thanks another partner my bro Jean Luc Duthion who designed every single details of this place from the mirrors to the lights, for the time and the energy and the time he spent.
Pure Lounge was also one of the best team ever:
Asaad Massoud an amazing executive manager totally dedicated to his work and to the place.
Wasim Khadour a great captain, professional involved in his work, with a lot of positive energy.
Faeyz Kaadi one of the best barman I've ever met.
Dana Salim Saba a clever and enthusiastic girl.
DJ Khaled who offered us great moments of music and joy.
We hope we'll restart the Pure Lounge adventure very soon ! Definitely in Syria and definitely in Damascus because we believe that Syria and Syrians deserve to have a real nightlife, have the right to celebrate, to have fun and to smile again.
