Public Call for Auditions📣
Dear friends,
This is to inform you that we are now accepting applications to audition for our next movie project, a one and half hour Cultural/village movie.
This next production will take place in Yei, and therefore we welcome applicants from Yei and Juba to apply and audition for the following roles…
1️⃣(27-35) MALE LEAD: A King (The Mor):
Needs immense physical presence (Well built) and the ability to convey deep emotion with minimal dialogue. A stoic rock with a warm core. (Male)
2️⃣(28-38): The Male antagonist. A worrier!
Charismatic but deeply flawed. Must be able to play arrogance and delusion without becoming a cartoon villain.
3️⃣(25-30): The female other antagonist.
She the King’s wife; the Queen: Plays jealousy and rage. Must be able to switch from regal to venomous instantly.
4️⃣(50+): Female lead’s father.
The moral compass of the traditional world. Dignified and loving.
5️⃣(50+): Chief Priest: The spiritual link.
His presence should feel ancient and otherworldly.
6️⃣(25-35): The king’s head guard. Loyal, silent, formidable. Minimal lines, maximum impact.
7️⃣(20s): The female lead’s best friend.
Provides lightness, gossip, and a confidante.
8️⃣(Mid 20s): The female lead’s rival.
A small but pivotal role. Her death scene is critical.
9️⃣TWO GUARDS/YABANG'S THUGS: Can be played by the same actors in different costumes/scenes to save on cast.

✅Fluent command of the English language (Both written and spoken)
✅Ability to speak or understand the Bari/apojulu language is an added advantage, but not a mandatory requirement. (Some movie scenes will be done in local dialect)
✅ Availability to travel/spend a week on set in Yei…
✅ A minimum of secondary school education.
This story is set up within a Pojulu social context, and therefore, the theme, the dressing and many details will depict the Pojulu culture…
