GBUDUE FC KAMPALA ENDS THE YEAR 2025 WITH A FUNDRAISING FOOTBALL MATCH ON 27th DEC 2025
There are many ways to end a year, some go on vacation, grande dinner, or outreaches amongst many. When it comes to Gbudue FC Kampala, they took things to another level when they ended the year in a super extraordinary way in preparation for their upcoming tour to Kenya for an international participation in a tournament.
On the 27th December 2025 the Kingdom boys organized a blend of Senior team, junior team and legends team to form *Team A* and *Team B* at *Nsambya Yes Sports Centre kampala* , the match was graced by the presence of religious leaders, socialites, music producers and promoters, politicians, students to mention but a few. In the setting rays of the equatorial sun about 16 Hrs the whistle was hard soo loud like that of a scouts parade, immediately the ball started to roll here to there across the football field as players wanted to register a goal to their names but all in vain till the first half elapsed. In the second half we witnessed and registered the first goal which sent echos of jubilations across the field, this happened when a substitute member of legends Mr. Jimmy Basoronga was given a chance to play. He played like Messi and jumped like Cr7 then scored like Thiery Henry. The match ended 1:0 in favor of team B which was coached by Mc Mandela.
At the last whistle, the club Legends encouraged the players to continue with the spirit and heart for Gbudue fc which they had and laid a good foundation for the team, Legend of the club Mr Jackson Gomu who works for South Sudan National Team under 17 encouraged the players to work hard and pass trial sessions next year 2026 in order to join SS National Team. Mr Jimmy Basoronga the real game changer led the fundraising by auctioning the new Jersey which was launched by the king of Azande kingdom earlier in Yambio before the match was played in kampala. Legend J Commando made his remarks followed by Legend JJ Justin who gave financial generating ideas to the team from his experience in Australia and donated 1 Million Uganda Shillings to Gbudue FC.
Priest Father Diko from Muyenga thanked everyone for keeping unity and called upon all to turn up for prayers since God is the only way in life. Number 1 Promoter K Spoon who received a jersey branded with his name thanked the teams management and promised a big surprise for the team and called upon general public to attend his 31st show in kampala. Last but not the least the Captain of Gbudue FC Prince Mark Zaza thanked the players for the great turn up and praised the legends for the good performance, he ended his speech with greetings from the President of Gbudue FC Engineer Farah Simon who was in Yambio with the king to launch new Jersey. H.E Wenepai Joshua Joseph president of Azande Students Union in Uganda thanked the team management and encouraged the students not to forget their books.
Honourable Diako Pauline one of the club Legends who was once Gbudue FC team president thanked the different efforts of everyone for the success of the match, she called upon everyone to put respect ahead of everything especially towards leaders in their different capacities. "A man's gift opens doors for him but it takes his character to remain there", Honourable Diako Pauline rang her words of wisdom in the end remarks before welcoming the guest of honor Honourable Philip Pia the Undersecretary for peace building ministry in South Sudan.
"Dignity is acquired by doing dignified deeds", said Hon. Phillip Pia while starting his speech, he also called upon every man to embrace peace and forgiveness for a better coexistence as South Sudanese in our different endeavors. Honourable who received a jersey branded with his name bought other jerseys for his house hold and donated $300 for the team to help in their upcoming Kenyan tour for international tournament. He ended by thanking everyone for turning up to the event and maintaining peace which promotes the name of the Kingdom and South Sudan at large as people of peace.
