The convoy delivered additional food and aid to communities in need. The WFP County Director also visited affected areas to assess conditions and speak with residents.

👋A PEACEFUL APPEAL TO THE PEOPLE OF GREATER FANGAK COUNTY AND THE LEADERSHIP OF JONGLEI STATE

Let this message reach every citizen of Greater Fangak County and all political leaders across Jonglei State. My voice should not be hidden, ignored, or overlooked. This is not a message of division, but a peaceful appeal aimed at promoting inclusion, equality, fairness, and unity within our beloved state.

First and foremost, I extend my sincere appreciation to all former governors, state officials, and leaders who have served Jonglei State with dedication since independence. I also commend the current leadership for their continued efforts in governing our state and addressing the needs of our people.

However, it is important that every leadership and institution embraces the principles of equal representation and inclusive governance. These values are essential for building trust, strengthening unity, and ensuring that all communities feel recognized and represented.

It has come to my attention that the communities of Greater Fangak, comprising Fangak County, Pigi County, and Ayod County, have only been entrusted with the governorship of Jonglei State for one term since the independence of South Sudan. This reality raises an important conversation about equitable opportunities in leadership and public service.

Today, I respectfully call upon our leaders, elders, intellectuals, youth, women, and all stakeholders to reflect on the importance of inclusion in state leadership. Greater Fangak County is home to capable, experienced, and visionary leaders who are ready and willing to contribute to the progress, stability, and development of Jonglei State.

Therefore, I humbly appeal for Greater Fangak County to be given a fair opportunity to serve the people of Jonglei State through the Office of the Governor when the appropriate time comes. This is not a demand against any individual, community, or current leadership. Rather, it is a constructive appeal for fairness, equal participation, and recognition of the contributions of all communities within our state.

Together, let us build a Jonglei State where every community feels included, every voice is heard, and every citizen has an equal opportunity to contribute to leadership and development.
