CLARIFICATION ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE DEATH OF MANYANG RING-KEC NGATH

We would like to address the misinformation circulating regarding the tragic death of Manyang Ring-kec Ngath, which occurred yesterday. It has been reported that Manyang took his own life using his elder brother's firearm, and we want to provide clarity on the situation.

According to close family members who spoke to Juba 24/7, Manyang's death was related to personal issues, specifically a complicated relationship with a young girl, whose name has been withheld for privacy reasons. Recently, Manyang impregnated this girl, and although his family was in agreement for him to marry her, Manyang expressed his unwillingness to proceed with the marriage, stating that he did not want to be with her. Subsequently, the court nullified their relationship.

The girl’s family attempted to take her away, but she repeatedly ran away from her father's home to stay with Manyang’s family, which added to his distress. This situation escalated until yesterday, when Manyang, feeling overwhelmed, made the tragic decision to end his life.

It is also important to clarify that Manyang was employed by Kuangjak Money Transfer, and contrary to some social media claims, he did not take any money from the company. This incident is strictly a family matter and is in no way related to his employment or any staff associated with the company.

We extend our deepest condolences to Manyang's family during this incredibly difficult time and urge the public to refrain from spreading rumors that may further complicate an already tragic situation. Thank you for your understanding.

"School fees must be in South Sudan pounds" said National ministry of education and instructions.

The national ministry of education and instructions has order the private schools to stop charging their school fees in dollars.
The ministry did assessment and found out that some schools in Juba city are asking parents to 100 - 300 dollars as the termly payment for a child. The payment of fees in dollars made parents to raised their concerns to the state and national ministry of education and instructions for the last three weeks and in response to the complaints the state ministry of education and instructions called all directors and head teachers for meeting at Juba one girls' primary school where they were told to charge schools in pounds

The director general at the state ministry of education and instructions ustaz Lawente Williams ALex urged private schools to charge reasonable amount as school fees and MUST be in pounds since parents are receiving their salaries in pounds.

Additionally Director general Lawente said that high fees will make it hard to parents to send their children to schools since their money can't manage to cater for feeding at homes and payment of school fees furthermore he asked private schools to consider the conditions of parents as they determine school fees to be paid by each learner.

In another development, director general direct schools not to register S.1 students before the results are released and whoever register students will faced the following penalties
1. Closure of the schools
2. Withdrawal of the Registration certificates

Senior inspector added that schools shouldn't collect reams and toilet papers from children since they are expensive and can add burden to the parents however he asked schools to use part of the school fees to buy reams and toilet papers. He said that schools collect reams and have examinations once a term and sell the rest of reams hence making much profit at the expense of parents
