VP Hussein Abdelbagi donates 10 motorbikes to Aweil East County Youth Association

The Vice President for Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, has donated 10 motorbikes to the Aweil East County Youth Association to enhance the mobility of the youth organization and support the implementation of its activities across the county.

The motorbikes were handed over to the Association’s leadership by the Vice President’s Press Secretary, Agany Geng Ayiei, on behalf of the Vice President. The donation was received by the Association’s Deputy Chairperson, Peter Yai Arou, at the Vice President’s residence in Amar’jal, Aweil East County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

The support is expected to strengthen the Association’s outreach and improve its ability to effectively serve and engage young people throughout the county.

South Sudanese-American basketball player C***r Ajou Akuei Ajou has died after battling liver cancer, family members confirmed to Aweil News Agency.

He passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, in Majak Akoon area of Aweil East County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

The former college basketball player studied and played in the United States before returning to South Sudan.

Family members said his funeral will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, in his hometown of Majak Akoon, where relatives, friends, and community members will gather to pay their final respects.
