DINKA Language

DINKA Language Dinka is a Nilotic dialect cluster spoken by the Dinka people and others in South Sudan.

There are four main dialects in Dinka Language; Padang, Rek, Agaar, Bor. The vision of this page is to bring all the four dialects into one common linguistic ground.

Let's compromise the Dinka language in this way, by calling months (pëi) in the Dinka language

1. 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝘁𝗼𝗸 (January) is called Kön. There will be no water flood-affected, dry land.

2 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗿𝗼𝘂 (February) is called Nhieth, people will go to the Toc, staying there until raining season.

3 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗸 (March) is called köl, it's a hot season.

4 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗡𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗻 (April), raining season, is called Akönydit.

5 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗗𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗰 (May) springtime is called Akönythei.

6 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗱𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗺 (June) springtime is called Adöng

7 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗗𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂 (July) is called Alekbor, where frogs 🐸 happiness shown.

8 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗕𝗘𝗧 (AUGUST) IS CALLED BILLDIT WHERE everything produce yields.

9. 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝗗𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗻 (September) is called beilthei everyone enjoy its deeds.

10 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗿, (October) is called akoldit where everything produced stories

11. 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗿 𝗸𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗸 (Lal), 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿.where cow's dank used for insect protection.

12. 𝗣𝗲𝗶 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘂𝗿𝗼𝘂 , (December), is called Hör apeklai. An area will be opened to human being and an animals to pass through widely.

This is how they are separated in the Dinka language, otherwise, we maybe looking beyond the fact.

Riën dik = Nice car

Piath: Good, Kind
Pan pieth = good house
Raan pieth = kind person

Pial : Well, Safe
Raan pool = healthy person
Piol guöp = healthy/ Well
