This year maiden annual National Music Award would gears towards areas of youth development, with a focus on setting standards, exposing talent, reducing exploitation and increasing employment innovatively, while maintaining and sustaining our cultural heritage through the development of the music industry. NMA is a conceptualized annual celebration of the brightest and the best in the Sierra Leone Music Industry. It will definitely be the biggest gathering of MUSIC makers across Sierra Leone, African continent and the Diasporas. It is to show to the world the emergence of Sierra Leone Music industry as the fastest mover. THE CEREMONY
This will be an historic event for the Sierra Leone entertainment industry, as LAKE Production will be coming up with the First Edition of the National Music Award, NMA in short. It has so far been scheduled to take place on the 27th April, 2014-Independent Day, at the National Stadium Main bowl, under the Grand Chief Patronage of His Excellency, President Ernest Bai Koroma. The winners of each category are announced on the night of the event during a live broadcast on SLBC TV. The ceremony will also showcase Sierra Leone's best performances and brings the cream of Sierra Leone musicians, comedians, and performers together under one roof. THE NMA TARGET MARKETS
