NOR TAYA FOR TRY; Meaning never give up
Growing up in Africa is a diverse experience shaped by region, socioeconomic status, and family, encompassing challenges like poverty and limited resources, alongside unique cultural aspects and deep connections to nature.
While some experiences involve hardship such as struggling to attend school or taking on family responsibilities at a young age, others involve rich community traditions, appreciating nature, and experiencing a different set of problems than those found in Western countries.
Poverty: Many children face extreme poverty, which can force them into the workforce, early marriage, or keep them from school.
Education: Limited resources and high fees can make school inaccessible for many children.
Gender-based violence and discrimination: Girls face heightened risks, including child marriage and female ge***al mutilation, and are more likely to drop out of school due to poverty or gender bias.
Healthcare: Children may be sent home from school because they look weak and sick, highlighting a lack of resources.
Unique cultural aspects and experiences
Connection to nature: Some children have a deep appreciation for nature, which shapes their childhood and sense of self.
Family and community: Many children grow up with strong family bonds and are surrounded by traditional folktales, festivals, and music.
Self-discovery: Childhood experiences often lead to a journey of self-discovery, and some people find joy and belonging in their African surroundings.
Different perspective on technology: Some people have a different perspective on technology, focusing on the positives of their life while acknowledging the challenges that come with it.
For some of us we never give up hope
