Green Agventure Receives BSc Dissertation on Aquaculture Research 🐟
Today at Green Agventure, we had the honor of officially receiving a copy of a BSc dissertation by Mr. Noah Sesay of the Institute of Marine Biology and Oceanography (IMBO), Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, who conducted his research at our Freetown facility in Gloucester.
Noah’s study — “Evaluating the Growth Performance of African Catfish Fed on Selected Local Feed Ingredients” — presents timely insights for Sierra Leone’s aquaculture sector. His research aligns perfectly with Green Agventure’s ongoing efforts to establish the country’s first commercial fish feed factory, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at reducing dependence on imported fish feed and cutting production costs for local fish farmers by nearly half.
We are proud to provide a platform where students can leverage our facilities to advance scientific research and practical innovation in aquaculture.
We also extend our appreciation to Dr. Salieu K. Sankoh (Senior Lecturer, IMBO, FBC, USL), Mr. Lansana Dumbuya, Esq., Mr. Success Ibrahim Sei Kamara, and Mr. Kemoh Lawleh for honoring us with their presence at this memorable occasion.
A special commendation goes to the CEO of Green Agventure for her unwavering leadership and commitment to transforming aquaculture in Sierra Leone — her vision continues to inspire excellence, innovation, and opportunity in the sector.
