Rising Sierra Leonean prodigy, Isaac Marah, has wrapped up an outstanding week of high-level football, showcasing his immense potential and composure under pressure.
On Sunday, April 5th, the 17-year-old featured in the prestigious Dallas Cup, where his side, Texans FC, faced English giants Everton FC in a thrilling clash among some of the world’s best U19 talents.
Despite a spirited performance, Texans FC narrowly fell short in a 3-2 defeat during regulation time.
Just six days later, Isaac returned stronger and more determined, playing a pivotal role in leading his high school team, Walnut Grove Wildcats, to the Texas State High School Finals. In the 33rd minute, he demonstrated sharp awareness and clinical finishing, latching onto a rebound from a deflected free kick on the left flank and calmly drilling a low “grass cutter” into the bottom corner.
His goal set the tone for a dominant 2-0 victory, sealing the championship for his team. Isaac’s rapid rise comes as no surprise. In March 2025, he earned his first call-up to the Sierra Leone U20 squad in Morocco, where he left a lasting impression on coaches and technical staff with his energy, creativity, and attacking threat.
Widely regarded as a “live wire” on the pitch, Isaac Marah is undoubtedly one of the brightest young prospects to watch as he continues to rise in Sierra Leone’s football landscape.
