The concept of feminism in general has been concerned to an analysis of the trend of male domination in the society, the general attitude of male towards female, the exploitation and discrimination faced by females....the need for and ways of improving the conditions of women.
This movement during the 1960s,feminism was limited to the authorship of female writers and the representation given to women in literature with the help of female characters.
One may like to ask"IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A MAN TO BE A FEMINIST"
A number of writers have addressed this question generally in theoretical terms. The arguments tend to focus on whether it makes ideological sense for men to call themselves feminists or whether the terms of feminism are inclusive to men.But today we have feminist male writers like Mukoma wa Ngugi,Mbuyiselo Botha,Mark anthony Nael,Mychal Denzel Smith e t c.
In this light however, when a person describes themselves as feminist despite its tellingly provoking capacity you may tend to know or read it as a sign that the person means business about being fed up with millennia of women's oppression, intimidation, harassment and exploitation
