My name is József Ürge and I have always been interested in woodcarving and working with wood. I love the look, smell and the perfect shape and structure of wood. I like working with hardwood or fruit-tree wood (although I can work with linden, thuja and poplar much easier – less challenging). I have my ideas mainly from life, but I am also fond of religious motives. I esteem myself as a very enthusiastic amateur who follows every advice given, I learn from others and it makes me happy, if I can present my loved ones and friends with one of my carvings.
