When a trip is more than just a trip… 🌿🏔️

During the ART FLOW youth exchange, we visited Ekokomunita Sekier, Zaježová — a place where simple sustainable living isn't studied from books, but lived every single day.

We started by inviting the European volunteers from Sekier to the tea room at Zaježová Education Center, where our participants had the chance to discuss life at Sekier and volunteering opportunities within the ESC (European Solidarity Corps) program. 🤝

Then we headed together on a hike up to Sekier — permaculture gardens, a farm, goats, greenhous, and stunning views. 🐐🌄

We wrapped up the day by making pizza together in a wood-fired oven, guided by Eponine and the volunteers. Because the best conversations always happen around food. 🍕🔥

Evenings at ART FLOW Youth Exchange were full of creativity… ✨🌌

During the luminography (light painting) workshop led by photographer Soňa Sadloňová - profesionálna fotografia, we explored how light and movement can transform the night landscape into something magical.

After a short introduction and practical demonstration, we moved to a nearby meadow. Timing was key — we worked during the blue hour, when day slowly turns into night.

We started with a few collective test shots, stepping into the frame and experimenting with drawing using different light sources. Then participants split into smaller groups and began creating their own compositions.

They took turns in different roles — photographers, models, light painters, lighting assistants, and directors — allowing space for collaboration, improvisation, and experimentation in nature. 🌿

Here are the results — luminographic images created by participants during the workshop. 💫

Youth leading youth: Graphic Techniques on Upcycled Clothes with Tomáš! 🎨👕

At the ART FLOW youth exchange, young facilitator Tomáš Brichta led a series of workshops combining graphic art with sustainable fashion.

It all started with linocut — participants first got familiar with the tools and printing possibilities, then worked on their own individual designs, carefully carving them into linoleum. 🖊️

In the next session came the exciting part — printing onto upcycled clothing and cotton tote bags. Each participant left with something truly unique, made entirely by their own hands.

But the workshops didn't stop there. In the final phase, participants formed international groups and collaboratively designed a story, which they then brought to life through linocut. Each person worked on one frame of the shared narrative — and the result was a collective print on clothing and bags that carries a truly shared message. 🌍✨

Art, collaboration, and sustainability — all in one. That's ART FLOW. 🌿

Youth in Action: Ceramics Workshops led by Kamila! 🏺✨

At the ART FLOW youth exchange, we provided a platform for participants not only to create but also to develop their facilitation skills. One of our young lectors, Kamila led a wonderful workshops focused on ceramics.

During the sessions, we got acquainted with various types of ceramic clays and modeling techniques. Kamila showed us how to create engobes and use them for ceramic painting. 🎨

Participants also explored the sgraffito technique to create unique small sculptures, and reliefs. Working with clay brought a sense of peace and deep focus to our flow, as you can see in these photos!

When all you need is leaves and sunlight... ☀️🌱

During the ART FLOW Youth Exchange, we also experimented with chlorophyll printing (chlorotype). It’s a technique that uses the natural green pigment of plants instead of traditional inks or chemicals.

Our experiment looked like this:
1️⃣ We blended green leaves to create a natural emulsion and applied it to watercolor paper.
2️⃣ We placed templates and plants on the paper and let them expose in the direct sun all day long.
3️⃣ The sunlight did the rest, "drawing" the shapes and silhouettes directly onto the paper.

It was exciting to wait and see if the images would actually appear after a full day in the sun. And it worked! Here are our first results — authentic imprints of the nature in Zaježová. 🍃✨

Greetings from beautifull Granada! 🇪🇸✨

We are thrilled to have been a sending partner for the international training course Digital Tools in Spain. Representing Premena, three talented young people from Ukraine traveled to Andalusia, where they did a fantastic job showcasing our organization throughout the week. 🤝

The training, organized by Somos La Otra, focused on practical digital skills – from podcasting to strategic social media communication. Our participants came back inspired and ready to bridge the gap between technology and youth work. 📱💡

How does art look when it’s created in direct dialogue with nature? 🌿

During the Land-Art workshop on the ART FLOW Youth Exchange, young facilitator Kristína led participants through a journey from inspiration to creation. After an evening session exploring the works of world-renowned land-artists, the group headed into the wild surroundings of Zaježová.

Using only natural materials, they created ephemeral artworks — pieces meant to exist in harmony with the environment and eventually fade back into nature. 🍃

ART FLOW: Create & Sustain 🌱

A creative journey that brought together young people from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Spain, and Ukraine to explore art, sustainability, and collaboration in practice.

Over the course of the project, participants:
✨ developed creative skills across different artistic forms
✨ built confidence and found their own voice
✨ experienced non-formal education led by young facilitators
✨ created meaningful connections across cultures

More than just outcomes, ART FLOW was about the process — learning by doing, creating in nature, and sharing a safe and inclusive space. 🌿

💡 The result?
A strong sense of community, inspiration, and personal growth.
