Dean Lucia Mokrá of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University Bratislava (FSEV UK), participated in the Forum of Constitutional Experts at the University of Milan, held as the second stage of the PARTICON-EU project.

The forum brought together leading constitutional law and political scholars from across Europe to discuss contemporary developments in public participation and its role within constitutional systems. 🌍⚖️

EN:FSEV UK hosted workshops as part of the ICCP 2026 Conference

On 25–26 June 2026, the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University hosted workshops as part of the international conference ICCP 2026 – Beyond Boundaries: Collaboration and Dialogue in Polarized Societies (International Certificate in Collaborative-Dialogic Practices).

The conference brought together professionals from around the world to explore collaborative-dialogic practices, postmodern approaches to mental health, and ways of fostering dialogue and cooperation in increasingly polarized societies.

The event was organized by the Institute of Dialogic Practices in Bratislava in cooperation with renowned international partners, The Houston Galveston Institute and The Taos Institute.
We are proud that FSES CU provided a space for international collaboration, knowledge sharing, and inspiring discussions on topics that have a meaningful impact on individuals, communities, and society.

SK: FSEV UK bola súčasťou medzinárodnej konferencie ICCP 2026

V dňoch 25. – 26. júna 2026 sa na FSEV UK konali workshopy v rámci medzinárodnej konferencie ICCP 2026 – Beyond Boundaries: Collaboration and Dialogue in Polarized Societies (International Certificate in Collaborative-Dialogic Practices).

Konferencia spojila odborníkov a odborníčky z celého sveta, ktorí sa venujú kolaboratívnym a dialogickým prístupom, postmoderným perspektívam v oblasti duševného zdravia a podpore dialógu v čoraz viac polarizovanej spoločnosti.

Podujatie organizoval Inštitút dialógických praxí v Bratislave v spolupráci s renomovanými medzinárodnými partnermi The Houston Galveston Institute a The Taos Institute.

Sme hrdí, že FSEV UK mohla poskytnúť priestor na medzinárodnú výmenu poznatkov, odborných skúseností a inšpiratívne diskusie o témach, ktoré majú významný spoločenský dopad.

EN: Where Would We Be Without Utopia? – Innovative Responses to Migration in Europe

On 25–26 June 2026, the Institute of European Studies and International Relations at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University Bratislava, hosted the two-day workshop "Where Would We Be Without Utopia? – Innovative Responses to Migration in Europe."

Organised by Matthew Steven Porges, Research Fellow at IESIR, the workshop brought together scholars and researchers to explore innovative approaches to some of Europe's most pressing migration challenges.

The programme featured discussions on a wide range of topics, including:
🔹 border management and migration
🔹 smuggling and human trafficking
🔹 activism and direct action
🔹 art and theatre as tools for social change
🔹 integration and societal resilience
🔹 EU enlargement and its consequences

The workshop provided an inspiring platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, international collaboration, and the exchange of ideas on the future of migration governance and European societies.

Thank you to all speakers and participants for contributing to two days of engaging discussions and academic exchange at Comenius University Bratislava.

SK: Where Would We Be Without Utopia? – Inovatívne prístupy k migrácii v Európe
V dňoch 25. – 26. júna 2026 sa na FSEV UK uskutočnil dvojdňový workshop „Where Would We Be Without Utopia? – Innovative Responses to Migration in Europe“, ktorý organizoval Matthew Steven Porges, výskumný pracovník Ústav európskych štúdií a medzinárodných vzťahov FSEV UK a vytvoril priestor pre stretnutie výskumníkov a odborníkov, ktorí diskutovali o inovatívnych prístupoch k riešeniu súčasných migračných výziev v Európe.

Program sa venoval viacerým aktuálnym témam, medzi ktoré patrili:
🔹 riadenie hraníc a migrácia,
🔹 prevádzačstvo a obchodovanie s ľuďmi,
🔹 aktivizmus a priame občianske akcie,
🔹 umenie a divadlo ako nástroje spoločenskej zmeny,
🔹 integrácia a spoločenská odolnosť,
🔹 rozširovanie Európskej únie a jeho dôsledky.

Workshop poskytol inšpiratívnu platformu pre interdisciplinárny dialóg, medzinárodnú spoluprácu a výmenu poznatkov o budúcnosti migračných politík a európskych spoločností.

Lecturer Oľga Gyárfášová from FSEV UK, together with Martin Minarovič, a student of Ústav európskych štúdií a medzinárodných vzťahov FSEV UK, participated in the ENLIGHT Summer School 2026, hosted by the University of Tartu, Estonia, from 14–19 June 2026.

This year's programme, "The Age of Abuse: Security Implications of Russia's Wars," brought together students, scholars, and experts from across Europe to discuss the evolving European security landscape, the consequences of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and the future of transatlantic cooperation. Through an interdisciplinary perspective, participants explored the political, social, economic, and cultural implications of these profound geopolitical changes.

Doc. Gyárfášová contributed to the academic programme with her lecture:
"New Geopolitical Divide: Consequences for Political Discourse, Identity Construction, and Individual Security Perceptions, with a Focus on the Visegrad Countries."

The summer school also welcomed students from other faculties of Comenius University, including the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Law, highlighting the university's strong interdisciplinary engagement within the ENLIGHT alliance.

Congratulations to all participants for representing Comenius University and contributing to this inspiring international academic exchange!

Vyučujúca Oľga Gyárfášová z FSEV UK spolu so študentom Martinom Minarovičom z ÚEŠMV FSEV UK sa zúčastnili na ENLIGHT Summer School 2026, ktorú v dňoch 14. – 19. júna 2026 hostila Univerzita v Tartu (Estónsko).

Tohtoročný program s názvom „The Age of Abuse: Security Implications of Russia's Wars“ spojil študentov, akademikov a odborníkov z celej Európy, aby spoločne diskutovali o meniacej sa bezpečnostnej situácii v Európe, dôsledkoch ruskej agresie voči Ukrajine a budúcnosti transatlantickej spolupráce.

Doc. Gyárfášová prispela do odborného programu prednáškou s názvom: „New Geopolitical Divide: Consequences for Political Discourse, Identity Construction, and Individual Security Perceptions, with a Focus on the Visegrad Countries.“
