International Violin Competition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava 2022

The Dean of the Music and Dance Faculty in Bratislava announces the 1st International Violin Competition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava held on September 8 – 14, 2022. Under the auspices of the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová

The main goal of the International Violin Compet

ition is to look for and support young talents from all around the world. Categories

Category I – up to the age of 21 / two rounds (participants born after September 15, 2000)
Category II – up to the age of 30 / three rounds (participants born after September 15, 1991)

Venue

CONCERT HALL DVORANA at the Faculty of Music and Dance. Round 3 takes place in the SLOVAK RADIO LARGE CONCERT HALL with Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. Prizes

Category I: 1st Prize 1.500€ , 2nd Prize 1.000€, 3rd Prize 500€
Category II: 1st Prize 3.000€, 2nd Prize 2.000€, 3rd Prize 1.000€

Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing updates, introducing our international jury and competitors, and taking you behind the scenes of this year's competition.

To begin, we are pleased to share the recording of the Drawing Ceremony, during which the performance order for Round I was determined.

🎶 International Music Competitions VŠMU predstavujú tohtoročnú International Piano Competition, ktorá sa uskutoční na pôde Hudobnej a tanečnej fakulty VŠMU v Bratislave v termíne 4. – 10. septembra 2026.
Súťaž prebieha v dvoch kategóriách podľa veku účastníkov a pozostáva z viacerých súťažných kôl. Finálové kolo s orchestrom sa uskutoční v priestoroch Slovenského rozhlasu.
Srdečne vás pozývame sledovať túto výnimočnú medzinárodnú udalosť, ktorá spája mladé klavírne talenty z celého sveta!
