OK, we're almost done... we're almost done with a year that should have been a year of celebration and joy because of our 30th anniversary... but it wasn't always like that.
First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize to our friends from Social Free Face and Savaria Colonia Hardcore for canceling our performance at their festival last weekend, where we were supposed to end our celebration together. We tried and looked for solutions until the last minute... but unfortunately it didn't work out. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. But we will definitely make it up to you soon.
We also didn't play as much as we would have liked considering the anniversary... and the main reason for this is the sad situation with our friend and former guitarist Marko. After he was out of the band in April this year, he disappeared and was declared missing in July. The bad feelings came true when he was found dead a few months later. His su***de shook us all very much.
Anyway, we played all the booked concerts in the fall (except the last one), and most of them were amazing, we were in quite a few new places around Europe and met a lot of new friends. Also thanks to our new guitarist Mario, who stepped in after the tragedy with Marko to help us play the already scheduled concerts. The good news is that Mario decided to stay and continue working with us and be a member of our band.
This year we also released a new album "Eternal fight" which we recorded in Denmark in the home studio of our friend and one of the best producers Tue Madsen . A few videos were released for the singles from this album, we made a bunch of new merch, we appeared on a lot of compilations all over the world, we did charity work and supported people in need, we also had a lot of good articles published in various magazines and music portals around the world... and we are grateful to everyone for every kind word and support.
After our concert at the end of November, which was the official celebration of our 30th anniversary and where we were also joined by former original and founding members Peter and Borut ... Dario left the band. So, we went on a search campaign again.
And now here comes another good news ... but we will share it with you shortly, when we will officially introduce the new singer.
But first, we will take some time with family and friends for the holidays ... and then a short break for a month or two, to resolve some medical issues ... but don't worry. ODPISANI are not going anywhere for good ... when we rest a little and clear our minds, we will come back stronger and louder than ever. So stay tuned.
