Živa Božičnik Rebec: STRATA 9.073 (kernel processing), 2023/2026

Spanning two locations, STRATA 9.073 (kernel processing) brings technological and material infrastructures into relation with geological processes, layering different temporalities of oxidation, sedimentation, digital production and transformation.

The installation unfolds between KIBLA PORTAL and Tkalka Gallery as two spatially separated parts of the same work.

Unboxing by Trin Alt explores the shifting meanings of everyday boxes as they move from global circulation into intimate domestic life. Through suspended sculptural assemblages of grey cardboard boxes and familiar objects, the project examines containment, displacement, memory, and the accidental relationships that emerge between stored belongings. Unboxing asks how objects acquire new meanings when they are gathered, concealed, forgotten, exposed, and rearranged.

Unboxing by Trin Alt was on view 4.8. - 5.8.2026 as part of the TKALKA NEXT 02 Series.

NON-FORM / NE-OBLIKA

KIBLA PORTAL × Tkalka Gallery

As part of the group exhibition Non-Form, Živa Božičnik Rebec’s STRATA 9.073 (kernel processing) (2023/2026) unfolds across two locations, connecting KIBLA PORTAL and Tkalka Gallery as a single spatial intervention.

Moving between different material and spatial states, STRATA 9.073 explores the infrastructures, protocols and invisible networks that shape our relationship to space, technology and materiality. Technological systems are approached not as immaterial or temporary structures, but as material processes entangled with geological time, sedimentation, extraction, waste and ecological transformation.

At KIBLA PORTAL, the work takes the form of a dark, rusted industrial grid, while its second part at Tkalka Gallery shifts into a translucent structure. Rather than functioning as a separate work, the Tkalka installation extends STRATA 9.073 into another architectural and material condition, connecting the two exhibition sites through the logic of infrastructure and circulation.

The second part of STRATA 9.073 (kernel processing) can be seen at Tkalka Gallery:

Meet the artists Nikola Pjevačević and Katarina Snoj behind the exhibition Horizon: Unseen.

What remains unseen? Can painting offer answers, or only sharpen perception? How much do we trust what we see?

In this short conversation, Nikola Pjevačević and Katarina Snoj reflect on perception, presence, beauty and the shifting nature of the image.

Today is the last day to experience Horizon: Unseen. Visit the exhibition before it closes.

Installation views from Horizon: Unseen.

Bringing together the works of Nikola Pjevačević and Katarina Snoj, the exhibition explores painting as a space where perception slows down and images resist immediate visibility. Through charcoal, oil, spray paint and acrylic, both artists examine the conditions of seeing rather than the certainty of what is seen.

REZULTATI ODPRTEGA POZIVA TKALKAUNFOLDED 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday for the opening of HORIZON : UNSEEN by Nikola Pjevačević and Katarina Snoj.

The exhibition brought together a Slovenian–Croatian dialogue through a collaboration with the International Student Biennial from Osijek — creating a space for exchange, new perspectives and shared artistic horizons.

A heartfelt thank you to Nikola Pjevačević, Katarina Snoj, and Miran Blažek for the collaboration and for making this project happen.

The exhibition remains on view until 26.6. every Thursday and Friday from 17:00–19:00.

Grateful to share this moment with all of you.
