Združenje Cirkokrog je skupina cirkuških pedagogov in pedagoginj, ki že vrsto let razvija cirkus kot medij dela z ljudmi. Pot Cirkokroga se je začela, ko so se študentke socialne pedagogike spoznale z mladinskim cirkusom, ki ga v Evropi že več let priznavajo kot učinkovit medij dela z ljudmi. Po nekaj letih raziskovanja na lastno pest so leta 2005 ustanovile Združenje za cirkuško pedagogiko Cirkok
rog. V okviru združenja razvijamo cirkuško pedagogiko kot obliko pedagoškega dela in neformalnega izobraževanja otrok, mladih in odraslih. Tekom let so se druščini Cirkokroga priključili in jo soustvarjali raznoliki ljudje – žonglerji, akrobati in artisti iz Slovenije in drugih držav. Vezivo pa je bilo in še vedno je skupno razvijanje cirkuških veščin ter razvoj uporabe cirkusa kot medija pri delu z ljudmi. Cirkus, ki nam vzbuja navdušenje, radovednost, fascinacijo in seveda kdaj tudi frustracijo. Cirkus, s svojo pestrostjo veščin, barv in oblik, kjer lahko sami sebe odkrivamo na novo, se drug od drugega učimo in družimo. Cirkus, preko katerega ustvarjamo in preko katerega trosimo čarobni prah na tiste, ki se jih dotaknemo. Kot medij pedagoškega delovanja uporabljamo razne cirkuške veščine. Na rednih tedenskih srečanjih se drug od drugega učimo raznih cirkuških tehnik in skupaj ustvarjamo lažje skupinske akrobacije. ENGLISH:
Cirkokrog is a group of circus pedagogues, which has been developing circus, as a medium for working with people for several years. The story of Cirkokrog started when students of social pedagogy encountered youth circus, which has been recognised for several years in Europe as an effective medium of working with people. After a few years of self exploration, they founded Association for circus pedagogy - Cirkokrog. In the realms of the association we develop circus pedagogy as a form of pedagogical work and informal education of children, youth and adults. Over the years, the association was joined and made up by various individuals - jugglers, acrobats and other artists from Slovenia and abroad. The glue of it all was, and still is the collective furthering of circus skills and the development of circus as a way to work with people. Coming from different corners of the world, we are all bound together by circus. Circus, which brings joy, curiosity, fascination and sometimes also frustration. Circus with its variety of skills, colours, forms, where we can discover ourselves anew, learn from and connect to each other. Circus through which we can create and transfer the magic dust to those we touch. As a medium of pedagogical activity we use various circus skills. At regular weekly gatherings we learn different circus techniques from each other and together work on elementary acrobatics.
