Dears Friends of Ljubljana tango festival,
we have some good and very important news: we moved the 20th anniversary to APRIL 2027. There will be no Ljubljana Tango Festival in November. We are moving it:
1-4 April 2027
20th Ljubljana Tango Festival
With the twentieth anniversary, we return to the beginning of the festival which was born in April 2005. We continued our April festival for the next seven years. Then in 2013 we moved it to the autumn and since then the date has been November.
Yes, the festival is a ritual that turns around every year, symbolically coming full circle. Celebrating the 20th anniversary in the spring of 2027 is more than just a return. We compare cyclicality to an eternal spiral — we return, but we are different.
After all, spring will not be the same as 2005, we are not the same as in previous springs. We are building the 20th festival especially creatively and respectfully.
In generous cyclical time, however, nothing disappears forever — everything changes, returns, renews.
We would like to celebrate the twenty-year milestone together with beautiful people like You.
