We are super excited for our next edition, which is just a few weeks away! This time we'll be taking over an old Mercury Mine in Idrija, Slovenia. 🔨✨
Quite a journey, needing some extra coordination and organisation travelling with all our tools and tents (and dutch mayonnaise)..
We still don't know whether we will have running water or electricity on site, so we're gearing up for all conditions. After 4-5 weeks of work in what's left of the mine, we'll open our doors on the weekend of the 8-10th of August and we'd love to welcome you there!
In the meantime, we could still use some help.. We're crowdfunding again for our travel and food costs. Check out the photos showing you some of our past goodies, like the T-shirt from edition #13, and behind it a peak at some of our postcards.

This year’s IPIHAN edition will take place at a former mercury mine in the village of Idrija, Slovenia.

From July 7th 2025 we will be working on site. We will open its doors for visitors during the weekend of August 8, 9 & 10. You are cordially invited!

Our IPIHAN projects are mostly financed by a group of enthusiastic fans. We organise a crowdfunding campaign with which we collect the necessary funds to make the edition and exhibition possible.

€ 40 = The new IPIHAN T-shirt
€ 100 = One editioned artwork by one of the participating artists

A big thank you to all our crowdfunders and to everyone who came out the see the first draft of the upcoming documentary on our project at the 2023 by filmmaker .goliath.video. We are really looking forward to the finalized film.
It was really nice to see so many familiar faces.
And it’s also always exciting for us how the artists editions for the crowdfunding boxes turn out.. We’re really happy with the results this year (slides 6+7), so thanks to all this year’s participants also❣️

Last summer, If Paradise Is Half As Nice (IPIHAN) was invited to be the curator of the 2023. IPIHAN #13 took place in and around the remnants of an old Iron Mine at the Salangen Fjord in the Arctic Northern Norway.

Saturday 03.02.2024 (tomorrow) after our crowdfunding event, we’ll be opening our doors to everyone interested to show a sneak preview of .goliath.video ‘s documentary on the project during the biennale. Feel welcome to join us at 8:30pm

If Paradise Is Half As Nice [IPIHAN] is an annual artistic site specific working period around derelict industrial sites.
Last summer IPIHAN was invited as the curator of the Salangen Biennale 2023. IPIHAN #13 took place around the remnants of an old iron mine at the Salangen Fjord in Northern Norway in the Arctic.
