The Fort Studios was created by Denise Jillian Tan, a local artist and art educator who specializes in painting. Starting out by giving private art lessons at a small, shared artist studio, Denise is now very fortunate to be able to maintain an art studio with an in-house classroom, an event space and two private artist studio rooms. With the support given over the years, The Fort Studios believes
in the continual support towards the growth of the local arts scene and its creative individuals and the provision of quality art education to those who seek to explore their creativity and talents. Inspired by the idea of a blanket fort, a space born by creativity, ambition and passion, The Fort Studios aims to be a humble visual art center focusing on building and supporting individuals in their journey of art appreciation and education as well as providing opportunities for artists and creatives with a space where they are able to transform and take control of.
