Over the past two days, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra returned with three deeply anticipated performances of "Encounter II: Liang Wern F**k’s Composition Showcase". Under the baton of Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong, familiar melodies were reimagined into six seamless movements, including the world premiere of Encounter Again, a new work composed by Liang Wern F**k specially for this return.

We extend our gratitude to Liang Wern F**k for pioneering Singapore’s uniquely homegrown xinyao music, and for his enduring collaboration with the SCO in bringing these memories to life on stage.

The digital album Encounter was also released across major streaming platforms on 8 May. Though the concert may have ended, the music continues on — ready to be revisited, rediscovered, and encountered again, anytime, anywhere.

随着母亲节到来，新加坡华乐团一连两天呈献三场"遇·见II：梁文福作品音乐会"。由首席指挥郭勇德执棒，以六组组曲串联起几代新加坡人的青春、爱情与时代记忆。音乐会也迎来了梁文福特别为本次制作谱写的全新作品《再一次遇见》世界首演，让“遇见”不只是回望，更成为一次重新相逢。

感谢梁文福先生，开创了属于新加坡的新谣时代，也感谢他与新加坡华乐团共同完成这场意义非凡的音乐旅程。

《遇·见》同名数码专辑已于5月8日上线各大音乐平台。音乐会终会散场，但音乐里的故事，仍会在每一次播放时，再次与你相遇。

We are delighted to welcome back the ever-friendly Professor Quek (Principal Conductor Quek Ling Kiong) for the Young Children’s Concert 2026 — DiSCOver the Magic of Music: Musical Weather Forecast!

Join us on 22, 23 & 25 May 2026 at the SCO Concert Hall for a fun-filled 1-hour musical adventure specially created for young children and families.

This time, Professor Quek becomes our cheerful weatherman! Through lively music, he will introduce musical terms like staccato, legato, glissando and trill — and show how they can sound just like different kinds of weather. Expect a delightful mix of original works and colourful arrangements featuring guzheng, dizi, koudi, and the full orchestra.
A perfect way for little ones to discover the joy and magic of music!👪✨🎼

人生这回事，有时是很难加场或加位的。
（所以说：珍惜眼前人。）
有时加了场，加了位，位子又被其他人先得了。
（古人说：十年修得同船渡。）

但是但是，我记得每一位真心想要出席的您。

下个月三场音乐会，好不容易终于加位了，今早10点开售。我因为忙着大学课程事务，想着11点后上网看看情况。10:08时，华乐团负责票务的同事来讯：所有加位的门票都买完了。

买不到票的知音网友，感谢您设置了闹钟提醒自己，感谢您热心地和朋友互相知会约好买票，如果您还是买不到票，请相信确实有为数不少的加位门票准时在早上10点开售，同时也有很多人在看到Selling Fast, 然后就Unavailable了。

没有关系，我再说一遍，无论您有没有来，这份诚意，这份温度，我都会收存心里，够我在天冷的时刻让自己暖和一些了。

From the award-winning dizi concerto ”The Capriccio of the Mountain Folk Song“, exquisitely brought to life by , to the grandeur ”The Great Wall Capriccio“ and the symphonic ”Sketches in Mountains of Guizhou“, the audience responded with resounding applause. 昨日，在客席指挥洪毅全的执棒之下，新加坡华乐团开启了一场横跨中国高山的听觉行旅。音乐不再只是对山的描摹，而是一种置身其间的体验。其中，获奖笛子协奏曲《山谣随想》在曾志的演绎下尤为动人，引领听众领略福建民歌的本真韵味。《长城随想曲》、《黔岭素描，Op. 23》等作品，则以细腻而富层次的音色语言，生动描摹出山河地貌与民族风情。

Without him, how will our performances come to life? 🎻

As concertmaster, Mr Li Baoshun plays a vital role in shaping the sound and spirit of the upcoming Fantasia: Yan Huichang and SCO – one that traces the evolution of the Chinese Orchestra.

Audiences can look forward to Li Baoshun’s Erhu Rhapsody No. 2, a work that places high demands on both technical mastery and musical expressiveness, alongside the majestic Terracotta Warriors Fantasia, which reflects the hardship and sorrow of Qin dynasty soldiers who spent years at war.

作为乐团首席，李宝顺在音乐会中发挥着关键作用，塑造着乐团整体的声音面貌与艺术气质。

5月16日，在《八音乐宴：阎惠昌与新加坡华乐团》音乐会中，他将倾情演绎《第二二胡狂想曲》，展现极致的技术技巧与音乐表现力。同时上演的《秦兵马俑幻想曲》，也将呈现秦代军队的威武气势，以及士兵久经征战的艰辛与离愁。
