Wu Yue Dance Studio Arts Troupe is a non-profitable society whose primary aims are to promote local culture arts through dance activities; nurture young talents in dance education; and provide opportunities for participation in performing arts. Its vision is to establish a dance company whose members exhibit good self-discipline and physical well-being; have a strong passion for dance; and who hav

e acquired the skills for the production of high quality works. Training and choreographic lessons are delivered by our Artistic Director, Mdm Gan Beng lee and senior dance members who have received their certificates from the BDA (Beijing Dance Academy) dance examination board. The arts troupe has been actively involved in public performances such as the annual Chinese Cultural Month of Singapore, National Day Celebrations, Chingay and various charity shows. Notable public performances include Dance Image (2008, 2012) and New Rhythm (2009, 2010, 2016), a project in collaboration with National Library Board. The troupe also represented Singapore for the International Children's Festival of Performing Arts in New Delhi, India (2009), 2nd Sibu International Dance Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia (2013), Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival in Wonju, South Korea (2018) and the Singapore Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam (2019). Under the leadership of our Artistic Director and advisory team, the troupe will continue to strive to achieve greater goals the near future.

Our Story

Wu Yue Dance Studio Arts Troupe is a non-profitable society whose primary aims are to promote local culture arts through dance activities; nurture young talents in dance education; and provide opportunities for participation in performing arts. The troupe currently comprises 30 members. Training and choreographic lessons are delivered by our Artistic Director, Mdm Gan Beng lee and senior dance members who have received their certificates from the BDA (Beijing Dance Academy) dance examination board. The arts troupe has been actively involved in public performances such as the annual Chinese Cultural Month of Singapore, Chinese New Year River Hong Bao Show, National Day Celebrations and various charity shows. Notable public performances include Dance Image (2008, 2012) and New Rhythm (2009, 2010), a project in collaboration with National Library Board. The troupe also represented Singapore for the International Children's Festival of Performing Arts in New Delhi, India (2009) and the 2nd Sibu International Dance Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia (2013).
